    Caught Snarky Puppy in Glasgow Barrowlands. As others have said about the London gigs, they're just amazing and such a pleasure to watch! I expected that, and enjoyed it immensely, but I didn't expect such a top support performance from Becca Stevens. She and her band were brilliant.

    thanks for the info @VTypeV4, much appreciated. Good to know this is an option for Trace / ABM type amps. (by sled I mean 'lead sled', sometimes used as a nickname for heavy solid state amp heads).

    hi folks, hoping someone with better electrical knowledge than me can help with this. Can a class AB head be used for silent practice? Like an ABM head used without a cab attached, for example? Lots of Class D amps make it clear you can do it, but what about a sled? Cheers, Doug.

    Bought this recently on here, and having put it through its paces I can say it's a gem, but just not for me. I'm going to stick with my ABM setup so this one goes up for sale. It is a lot like the cube series but is a bigger cab, so has a much bigger sound, and is rated at 160w. The weight is around 20 - 25kg, and the size & shape mean it's very portable (narrow enough for car boots, stairs and door ways etc). Has lots of ins and outs round the back and was recently serviced by Roland. The sound is really flexible, in 2 ways mainly (other than the eq and effects obviously). First, you can use the shape button to make it emulate a 1 x 15, which it does very effectively. Secondly, there are 3 preamp models. One for high headroom cleans, one for tubey sound and one driven tube. They work very well indeed. I used it as a mini PA too, which confirmed how hifi it can be. It actually did that job remarkably well! I had no issue with it at all, just I prefer the ABM and dont need 2 loud combos. Happy to arrange a courier but that's not included in the price, which is now £150 assuming local pickup Cheers, Doug.

    Bought a thumpinator from AJ. We both had to be patient and stay in touch as there was a curveball from the bank transfer - still a mystery - but AJ definitely earned my trust and was in regular contact throughout. Cheers, Doug.

    Very good condition, in the box and with the manual. I bought it as an ex-display item. Never been gigged. Some nice sounds, great for recording or practicing and, as everyone always says about Roland cubes , it's a lot louder than you think! £75 or £80 delivered. Cheers, Doug
