Here is my fender jaguar bass. 4string. Can't change the 300 quid. It's only a few weeks old and since the arrival of a couple of others it isn't getting played so someone else might as well have it. These were £ 364 new and that's a big reduction on what they were, and it's in immaculate condition. If you want a pic just email me and I will forward you one as the uploader isn't playing nice tonight. Will try again tomorrow. It's the black / maple colour. This is a lot of bass for the money and sound wise punches above its weight. Didn't come with case or bag but I will include a gig bag with it. Thanks for looking.

Just buy one and be done with it. Then sell it again at a loss after Christmas when you realise you got a dogbass and it'll help clear the festive credit card bill. Been there done this, got the T-shirt.

This is a fender USA deluxe jazz 5 string. I got this in a trade recently for my mike lull tc5 and having now got my hands on my spector it is going to be sitting it out so someone else might as well be playing it. In comparative terms it blows the mike lull away in playability IMHO. I thinks it's called the white blonde finish, really nice under lights actually and sounds ....well....as good as I've heard from fender to be honest. Active / passive switch is great for options on sound. Plays really really well, but I'm just preferring the longer scale. Trades? I dunno. Try me, but a sale is my first choice. If you want better pics pm your email and I will oblige. Thanks for looking

I don't really need much volume but the genz streamliner and focus cabs for me IMHO is as good as I have heard. Simple, light, LOUD when it needs to be and with great grit in the tone if you want it. I can't say its worse or better than GK as I have never had the opportunity to use one but certainly the 600 streamliner punches hard for only being 600 watts.
Perhaps people fancied trying a six-string but then quickly found that they had no real use for it.
I did this twice. I'd like to have the time to get good at making the most of the extra string but sadly it ain't happening with life as it is at the minute so it's fours and fives for me. Maybe some day I'll manage to buy and keep one.

Traded a bass with dale. All good and a smooth transaction. Thanks

Is this as simple as removing one and replacing it with another the same size? Is it likely to be glued in place and need persuading to come out? Are the measurements given on replacements the full length of the nut or the distance from string centre to string centre? Thanks for any help.

Warwick stages 1 and 2 - what's the difference
Black Coffee replied to Black Coffee's topic in Bass Guitars
Never played either stage 1 or 2. Hope to some day. -
If you can't get along with a Ric either your technique is simply poor or you bought the wrong instrument for your personal taste. Simply blaming the instrument is rather foolish. Others before you got great results playing their Ric, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Justin Chancellor, Trevor Bolder, Geezer Butler, Cliff Burton, Roger Glover, Glenn Hughes, Paul McCartney to name a few.
I merely lamented my childhood dreams being shattered. Years of watching Motörhead made me just want one, but not wanting to admit to bad technique I will just agree that I didn't get on with the u bend over the pick up and even when removed it was just not right for me. The 4004 had a dodgy truss rod and got returned so I never got to really try it out. Regardless, I lost a fortune on three over about 18 months, and won't ever get over it as I pined after the bass for years and for me it's just the wrong bass to play but I love the look.

I owned three Rics. A 4003, 4003 fretless and a 4004. Loved how they all looked, hated how awkward they played and sounded. Grimace at the money it cost to see a childhood dream explode in my hands. Have a look around, why aren't more people playing them. . . As all you see is fender Warwick Spector etc etc . Can't get away from that. IMHO

My first ever mm was one of these and I'd still say it was the best sounding one I ever owned even compared to a 25th anniv 5 string I had at one point. Only bad point was the non profiled edge digging in to your forearm above the bridge but that was a small gripe. Great to get a bargain like that. Enjoy.

Warwick stages 1 and 2 - what's the difference
Black Coffee replied to Black Coffee's topic in Bass Guitars
Many thanks. -
At the risk of sounding a total ignorant fool, but bearing in mind I've only ever owned a BO thumb. What's the difference between a stage 1 and stage 2 streamer?

You only really begin to enjoy playing it when you stop worrying about the first ding. As long as it's an accident and you can't get pissed at someone else you gotta just learn to live with it. I treated my Dingwall like a trophy and it took the enjoyment out of playing it to be honest. In my ever honest wife's words,"Wise up, it looks played now it has a ding in it."
