1. would you budge on the price?
2. so the t.bone one handles the low e/drop d ok?
3. I saw the t.bone ones on thomann, but i assumed that one by a well known manufacturer (such as akg/nady) would perform better. I have also seen that guide already, and checked if these systems are a) legal, and b ) switchable Thanks for the replys, keep em coming!
4. although the guitar bug looks good, its a bit too pricey! does anyone have any opinions on any of these? 5. I'm after a wireless system for my bass. I would like something that; - has a fairly decent range - does not lose signal quality - does not eat batteries for breakfast - is Cheap!! i like the look of the samson stage 5 system, but reviews say they go through batteries like anything.. so, any ideas for a decent wireless system in the £50-£80 sort of pricerange?
6. is that £350 for both cabs, if so im very interested! whereabouts are you based?
7. its soo tempting, i'm from bridgend, so i could pick up, it has the right number of watts... if only it were 4 ohm
8. They look real nice, but £500 is a bit too much for me sorry!
9. yeah, there is nothing like hearing your stuff on the radio!
10. I'v only listened to the first two so far, but... wow! Seriously good stuff!
11. is this still for sale? EDIT: note to self, look at title first... sorry! I can see thats its sold now!
12. is this cab 4 or 8 ohm, and what wattage is it?
13. would you budge on that price?
14. is the 4x10 still for sale?
15. Tans teal stingray, made on the 23rd jan 2004...
16. Where in south wales are you?
17. i hang my stingray, and a cort gb74 on wall hangers, secured by 3 screws into a plasterboard wall, using quality plugs. It is fine, they easily support the weight, and my basses aren't light! Go for it, it worked well for me!
18. Hi, im Pete, im 16, my gear is: One Hartke vx2500 One Cort gb74, (seen in action here) And the latest addition, (and by far the best!) one Musicman stingray
19. I know someone who has one, they like it, and it seems rugged enough!
20.
I have done the Rock School grade 8, and I know a guitarist who has done an RGT grade 8. The Rock School syllabus is one hell of a lot easier - there were dozens of scales/arpeggios for RGT, I think I only had to learn four. It's just a matter of learning the songs, which takes time. I have been playing for 6/7ish years and managed to do the grade 8 in about 6 months. I'd suggest you get a copy of the book and see if you can learn any of the songs. If it's too hard, try a lower grade.
i have been playing for about 4 years, and i'm hoping to do my rock school grade 8 at Christmas. the exams are fairly easy, as there is a long time to prepare the sightreading (20 minutes) and not very many scales (compared with some other instruments anyway!) but as mentioned before, the scales are unusual, and can be hard to learn, but as there are not that many, you should be fine!
21. i've got some hotpinks, and i really like them. They doo feel different to the slinkys on my main bass, but i dont think that they feel worse.
22. i would b interested in both of the cabs, let me know as soon as you have a price for them!
23. also a big thankyou for my pick up and nut!
24.
what if you took the little metal rings off a set of old strings, and embedded them into the wood, and then strung the strings through that? i don't know if they're always big enough on all string makes, but the ones off the ends of my ghs strings are big enough for a 105 E string to fit through.
good plan! i'll see if that works with some of my old strings...
25.
yea no problem -- i'll have to look through what i've got. don't think i have a pot, but can probably find a jack, and might have an old string tree, knob, and probably a tone capacitor as well.
A string tree would be very useful! as would the knob and the jack, i wasnt planning on adding a tone pot, but if I can get two pots from somewhere, then i would appreciate the capacitor too! the only other thing the would be through body string ferules, but those are not really needed, unless someone has some lying around!
