Hello Martin, welcome - there are some good brains to pick here! Remember to cut up your credit card before browsing too much though. I stupidly didn't. John.
I don't have a pic of me that doesn't make me look like a bloke that shouts in the street and looks for cold chips in bins.
Not to worry, I don't have one that doesn't make me look like an overweight football hooligan. Funny that. -

Get pissed, click BIN, feel sick, lie to wife, enjoy it when it arrives.

Bring the E side of the pup up?

A bit of healthy fear never hurt anyone. My problem is it's fear of whether the drummer is too pissed to remember the songs. Again.

Like it. I'll like it even more when I've made up me mind which cab to buy and it's sitting in the front room looking at me in a cheeky manner. Will be in touch soon about the road test! John. -
Check the wiki. <runs away> And ask all you like, just cut the credit card up first.
Wasn't it Mark E Smith who said "Spangles were always crap!"... at least that was my experience of them. Welcome to the forum!
Heresy - Spangles rocked. So did Nutty bars. Oh yeah, welcome
I heard they were for c**ts, or was that Warwicks? I'm a c*** so maybe they're both for c**ts I feel a need for something different in my bass arsenal and I’m missing the Musicman sound :brow: I’ve played a few Sterlings recently and loved every one. I was GASing for a Sterling a little while ago and I’m feeling another GAS attack coming on…
Diarra eh? Least he was up front about it, unlike someone else I could [s]stab like the c*** he is[/s] mention. EDIT: What's wrong with being a c***? Unless you've got a face like an old leather satchel.

I thought the Selects were passive? I may well be wrong though. This would open up many more options... Try here for a start. I had Wizard 84's in me Geddy Lee & loved 'em. The BadAss II is a cracking bridge, but I think the Gotoh 201 has a few fans on here. And a bunch of others too! Good luck.

Spector.

Sold for a pint of lager to the silver chap. And following the guidelines, may I humbly request a mod to sort it? Ta.

Remarkably like these little fellas, push fit for split shaft pots [no irritating grub screws like those little bastards of indeterminate size on the Geddy Lee].
I gave into temptation and, as a Christmas/ well-done-for-paying-off-a-chuink-of-CC-bill present I bought one from Coda on Monday, it arrived yesterday and immediately went into hiding in my old Trace head's flightcase so that Nic doesn't notice immediately It won't get a proper going over til Sunday's wedding but I have to say I'm dead excited! So when are you giving in?
I was toying with the idea of a power amp / EBS MicroBass set-up. Aw f*** it, Friday probably! [NHS pay day]
I'll keep offering this as another amp suggestion coz I think it is so bargainous: Hartke LH500 Mine turned up today, can't wait to plug it in!
Spill the beans man Mert!
the 'Wood Finish' Spectors..... from left.... Zebrano EuroLX, Natural Euro LX (now belongs to JohnnyLager) & Walnut US 1976 SB1
Who must put it down sometime soon! If anyone has any doubts about the ease of adjustment of the Spector bridge [as I did] - don't worry, it's easier than a conventional one. Is there a red one missing? John.

Anyone want to borrow a five string?

f*** it, I'm in and what a generous offer, cheers mate. I'll be in touch when the dust settles after recent gear acquisition. She still doesn't believe me mate gave me his 'Ray to look after. I'll also make sure yours comes back covered in Pompey stickers n'all mush. -
silly question but who/what/why is KSD? I did a wee search on google which turned up ken smith designs, none of which appeared like a J bass.
Try here and here. Lovely basses. You won't find much about the EBS pre though - bit of a side project of one of the EBS gadgeys I think. Lovely pre too.
What basses did you boys start with, Alembics? Looks like a lot of bass for the money. And an amp!
It sure beats my Kays catalogue no-name Precision into the ground. Which is where it probably is now.
