1. Theses Hiscox numbers will eat anything. Far too big for my Spector though!
 2.
We were, at first, slightly concerned it wouldn't fit in the boot of my car (04 Ford Focus hatchback) but it does with consummate ease (picture proof later!)
Very important, this one. Nearly as important as an '01 Focus.
 3.
I just got a second hand (but mint condition) EBS MultiComp and that does the job perfectly!
+1.
 4.
No? He did a good job resurrecting my Superbass 100 and the price seemed fair for a major overhaul and complete revalve.
Funnily enough, I was speaking to a gadgey the other day who also had his valve amp well fettled by him. On the flipside, he kept my Peavey Combo 300 for about 2 or 3 aeons, failed to fix it despite telling me he had and charged me £75. It was a Peavey - all it needed was a bloody good kick.
 5.
I'm not too fussed as it's going to be a practice/back up it has to be better than the Badger I'm using ATM.
Cruel bastard.
 6. It's now on the calendar so I'm allowed to come.
 7.
Hello! Drummer here, thought i would do a bit of spying on the bass fraternity.
Quick lads, hide the booze!
 8.
Only gays use picks.
Speaks the W*****k 5 player.
 9. Will check the calendar tonight. LH+Big One = , I'd wager. Will heckle if attending - 'Bass solo', 'Freebird', 'You know any Nirvana mate?', etc.
 10.
I'm back using a bloody pick again and......I'm lovin' it.
Good man. Welcome back to plectrum world.
 11.
I've got to get over the latest edition also - picking it up on Saturday all being well.
Ah, I might pop in for a nose...
Apart from being a ""Status Whore", I also have GAS for the diving girl in EBS_freak's avatar. Or is that something else??
It's a ladyboy. Nice arse though. One of Claber's cabs, one of them Tascam bass trainer jobbies & a couple of wall hangers is it for me. No more basses, amps or effects. That the wife will find out about anyway.
 12.
I think you will find we have taken the FA cup 8 times
Yes, but never from us.
 13.
...it's been sitting at DHL in Maidstone since the 19th of December.
Dear Mr Punkdude, After briefly 'playing' the silverfox's Roscoe the other week, I have decided against the kind offer of a lend of your 5-string. On the rare chance I could erase 20 years of muscle-memory, I would end up wanting one and in the interests of lager family dynamics, this is utterly out of the question. I would however like to send you a sticker with which to adorn said bass. After all, you have taken everything else that Pompey once held dear. Except the FA Cup. And Glenn Johnson. Yours, Mr Lager
 14.
Can't really draw any conclusions with regard to that comment because I haven't compared a 4 string strung B to D with a 5 strung B to G... and if you are commenting specifically about my Rumour, I can't comment again because I haven't compared a 35inch scale (5 string Rumour) strung B to G to a 34inch scale (4 string Rumour) strung B to D (where the B is through body strung) Nevermind eh johnny?
15. It depends whether that low B is bridge or body strung, eh Russ?
 16.
I'm convinced now though.
Me too
 17.
Nope. I believe the Fender logo should have no outline, just straight black & there should be the patent #'s under it. And I can't see the CIJ & serial # just above the neck pocket. GL's comes in those gig-bags though... EDIT: And that neck doesn't look shiny enough either.
It could be one of the new necks though, which are satin, I believe. Fair point from Mr Hunt, too.
 18.
Read further down its been very cleverly worded i think? "A Replica of the Fender Jazz Bass Geddy Used with Rush"
That's what Fender say too.
 19. Royston Langdon off Spacehog. Who have just reformed.
 20.
I could be wrong but is what's on the headstock correct for a genuine Fender? Don't flame me if I'm barking up the wrong tree. 21.
Really? I thought the blue box was a ring modulator rather than an octave up? It does sound like the octaver on digitechs etc rather than a ring modulator but I await correction. Are there any sites that detail Les' rig?
Can't find any current ones. I've not tried this though. Let me know if you have any luck and I'll chuck it the bassgeek thread.
 22. Are you all related?
 23.
Cheers for the transcription posting. Just found a couple of things on it that might be worth pointing out... in bar 2 after the F to Ab hammer on the Bb hammers on to C before the Eb staccato sixteenths. Anyone else hear this?
Fantastic. Do you play Dungeons & Dragons & like computers by any chance? I do and this is the kind of thing I would post if I [s]could bunk off work & get the wife and child out of the house[/s] had the talent. EDIT: The only thing I ever picked out was a run in some Foo-Fighters song that Stuart Clayton [kindly] pretended he hadn't heard! EDIT 2: I will learn this by the end of the year.
 24.
Streamers look cool Corvettes look weird  IMO!!
Those Spector wannabees are alright I suppose , but I must agree about the Corvette. I just know I would end up holding the top horn thing and this in turn would provoke jibes about my sexuality and result in a fight. Mind you, the W on the headstock would probably do that.
