Yes, the cabs do look nice. Not as nice as the Demitriades 1x15 mind, but nice nonetheless.

My mate has an Elise & we were sitting in a traffic queue in Pompey when on old chap would down the window of his Jag & said 'my son desgined those' - my mate replied instantly with - 'tell him the f***ing roof leaks'. He didn't know what to say.

'All original'. What does it actually mean....?
johnnylager replied to Beedster's topic in General Discussion
My money's on 1 - as it left the factory, though I for one would be hard pressed to differentiate between any of them, especially from the big F, as it seems 'all parts verifiable from the same year of manufacture' & 'all parts verifiable as from the same era' were present on many basses as they left the factory. If that makes any sense at all. Apologies for the long & poorly punctuated sentence. EDIT: Unless I was selling it of course. -

Anyone DI'd out of one, especially into a desk / PC? That'll tell us. One for the weekend Mert? EDIT: not in that way though.
Cheers for that John, good to hear another opinion! Did you find it at all hissy? Half wondering whether that's been made worse by the Raytheon valve...
Yes it is a bit, but hey - it's modelled on an old amp and I can be accused of many things, most of them probably true, but a hi-fi bass sound isn't one of them. Still not got it's top off [fnarr] to lob that Ruby in. Thursday night - I'll do it then, promise and I'll take some pics of the supposed dual transformer...

I've probably already posted in here, but want to do it again - Larry Boothroyd of Victims Family and yes, Rob Wright of Nomeansno again.

I have a Czech Spector, a Korean KSD & until recently a US Stingray & I have to say they are all great. The 'Ray needed a neck shim & still needs a bit of stoning up the dusty end, but it's 20 years old and was largely unplayed for 10 years before it came to me. It's a bit of an arse getting a new battery cover that fits for the KSD though. Then again Brooklyn Gear have had a few problems recently.

Piece of sh*t Kays catalogue P-copy - £100 in 1985, £221 now. That would get me a VMP and a big night out today. -
I do get worried about being let down by another band member - or me letting them down.
That's the fella. A pissed drummer or a singer falling asleep on a 10 minute train journey, ending up in Croydon and having to wait 55 minutes for a train home. At least it was bloody freezing and he wasn't allowed off the platform 'cos he didn't have a ticket. There is a God.

Gave mine a run out at a far too loud rehearsal last night - fantastic. I agree with Mert with bottom end thing - I had the Spectors [active] bass all the way up and still needed to boost the LH to about 2 o'clock - it is indeed a bright amp, even without the bright circuit engaged. I do like a bit of clank though, so this is fine by me. Sounded clear as a bell at dropped C# too. I tried it bridged into some house Carlsboro 1x15 and the Demitriades custom 1x15, then tried them both together from the seperate power amps, using the balance control to even out the volumes. For 2 different cabs, the seperate route is ideal, but I assume that for identical cabs, running them both off the bridged o/p would be fine. After using a driven sound for years, I quite like the clean sound it gives - the growl from the Spector seems to be all I need [for now]. EBS MicroBass anyone? - I put it away! The thing that strikes me is the volume - I didn't want to cane the cabs as I had no idea of their power handling, but I didn't need the volume above 3. Overall, a clean, easy to use amp with plenty of options for connecting cabs and easy to get a good sound out of. If I'd have taken me old amp, I'd still be twiddling something. £330 well spent. Now for a cab...

Recently got a lend of the fabled Demitriades 1x15 with which to annoy me council scum neighbours and Nik organised a spur of the moment micro-bash with him, Walman & me, saving me from the indignity of wasting the courier charge on Wayne's BC 5'er! Nice one fella!
