1. Mutation time. Dumped the Boss SYB, could not get anything useful out of it (I had high expectations for this one). Replaced it with a TC Electronic Alter Ego V2, very nice vintage style delays. Replaced the Boss looper with a TC Electronic Ditto. I'm going to use this Boss looper stand alone now and not as a part of the board. This replacement was mainly due to the tiny dimensions of the Ditto, there is nothing wrong with the Boss but now everything fits better on the board. Also added a TC Electronic SpectraComp, it sounds different from the Boss compressor.
2. Two more new pedals. And a side extension for the board. Changed some board positions, not the chain order. As far as adjustment and sound possibilities go the MXR envelope is running circles around the Mooer Bass Sweeper. The Mooer however can do something the MXR can't - add dirt to the sweep.
3. Looks like a Harley Benton deko, if so no bargain!
4. Previous version: New version of the pedal board - some changes in the order, one pedal gone and a few new ones. Gone is the American Sound, it became sort of obsolete due to the LeBass. New: Simple volume pedal, Fuzzster, Viscous Vibe and Loopstation. Added the Beatbuddy to the chain, already had this one for a longer time but it was attached to different amp.
5. Magic of the first coat of oil, always love how all of a sudden the wood comes to life. Beautiful!
6. Thanks. (I think ) Too bad it has already changed quiet a bit since this picture was made (the chain order and removed and added some pedals), still waiting for a Chowny Fuzzster to complete the latest version, once it's in I'll post an updated picture.
7. Very good wood choice, everything contrasts nice to the spalted beech.
8. Do these qualify? The longest string is 36". Both are DIY builds.
9. Compressor at the begin of the chain, looper at the end. Everything in-between - just try it and use what sounds the best for you.
10. Your fingerboard looks almost like it came from the same piece of rough lumber as mine did a few years back. Cutting fret slots in snakewood is a tough job, it's seriously hard (harder than ebony!), when I cut the slots in my board the saw tended to clog up, minimized it a bit by putting candle-wax on the saw. The block method you mention is how I always cut my fret slots.
11.
Never seen a bridge like that before
Seriously? This style of bridge has been on Höfner's for decades.
12. I've also made this one (that's on the bass moment). Still not sure which one I prefer.
13. The body is solid poplar. Neck heavy is relative, I've got several of these HB shorty's and they don't have any neck-dive when used with a strap. When sitting down with them they have, but almost all basses do when played on your lap.
14. The Harley Benton has a reduced body size. To get some idea how much smaller, the HB pickguard on top of a standard P guard.
15.
I still need to clean up the wiring but that's a low priority at the moment.
And done.
16.
And here i was thinking how tidy your board looked…
The board looks okay, but underneath the wiring and power supplies are just laying on floor at the moment, those still need need to be attached to the bottom side of the board.
17. Added a new pedal board to my pedals. The DIY trays I made were not really up to the job anymore after I bought a Two Notes Le Bass, this thing is big. I still need to clean up the wiring but that's a low priority at the moment.
18. Number One Design Guitars is the distributor for BaCH in the Netherlands, this distributor is also the author of the Gibson Bass Book. And active here on basschat under the name Basvarken.
19.

Done some work on this one. Replaced that big piece of white plastic crap with something more modest to show off the beautiful finish and woodgrain. Also acquired a few new ones since the StingRay 5.. Chinese unbranded Ukulele bass. Sire Marcus Miller V7 Vintage Ash-5. Spector Legend 5 Classic. I think I'm done buying basses for a longer period of time now, I'm without bass-gas at the moment! All the basses I lusted after for a long while are in my possession, the Spector was the last one I really wanted. High time to finish my DIY short-scale 6 string build.
20. Finally got me a Spector, has been on my 'if ever at the right conditions list' for a very long time. Spector Legend 5 Classic.
21.
Do you remember what seller was that?
The sellers store name was louyuan yan, but his store is not active anymore.
22.
Me as well. Who's going for one first? Left handed one for me though.
Something like this? Been there - done that. However I needed to do some work on it before it was a player. - Aligned the pickups to the strings, the bridge pu was moved over by 3 millimeters, the neck pu by 1 millimeter. - Due to the moving of the pickups I also had to move the pickguard. - Reshaped the nut, they just put on a right handed one so this needed to be seriously modified. - Gave the tuner bushings a few knocks on their head, they were mounted crooked. - The fingerboard had several less good looking and finished spots, re-finished these. - Crowned the frets where needed and polished them, they were level but rough finished in a lot spots. I just can't and won't cope with this reversed crap! - Done a full shielding of the controls cavity, there was none whatsoever. - Made a thumb rest. - Made a new truss rod cover. - Replaced the strap holders, what was on there was mounted with very thin and short screws, to leave those would have been waiting for an accident to happen. - Checked if all the screws and bolts were tightened and if they weren't tightened them (more often than not they were loose!). - Did a full and thorough setup.
