1. This looks familiar!!! I think this is my old bass (it is certainly my old for sale ad) Amazing bass, and miss it terribly, but my love for spector's is greater right now. GLWTS
2. Very nice! Amazing basses for the money GLWTS!
3. Hi all, I am putting my beloved mexican jaz bass in sunburst up for sale. This has been my go to bass for nearly three years, but I have fallen in love with my spector, so this one needs to move on. I have upgraded the pickups to dimarzio dp123 humbuckers along with 500k pots and a gotoh 201 bridge. Bass sounds really full and well rounded and not aggressive as the humbuckers would suggest. I have had bass players Compliment me on its tone after gigs before, so it's not just my ears that think so. I'll get some pics up shortly, but the only cosmetic issue really worth mentioning is that it has the mounting screws for a bridge cover that I took off as the gotoh wouldn't allow it to go back on. Looking for £350, will come with the sexiest snake skin covered hard case I have ever seen. Please see link to pics from the previous owner here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/186803-sold-fender-jazz-bass-mim-sunburst-l300/page__fromsearch__1 Potential deal about to happen so willing to drop the price for a shirt time to £300

Hey mate, what preamp is in this stunning lump of wood?? If you could show. Pic of the pre that would be great
5. Some interest but still here bump
6. I can't deliver it to you, but I could arrange for a courier to do it :-)
7. Bump for this great bass!!!
8. Was I the only one who started singing Duran duran's "notorious" after the first four bars of this song???
9.
Ive recently traded for a stingray 5 after havin gas for one,now ive come to conclusion its not for me.i really want to like it but i cant lol argh. Whats wrong with me?
Ok, I have to step in here, I think there IS something wrong with you lol. But seriously, knowing you just offloaded a beautiful Spector rebop 5, and now you are moving on a stingray 5, is it the active growl you don't like? The rebop is a 35" scale and the 'Ray is a 35", which do you prefer?? I found the neck very playable on my us SUB, which felt the same as a U.S. ray, and my NS2000/5 doesn't feel too far from that so assume the rebop and the Ray are not too different? Tell us more, is it just GAS? Are you searching for the holy grail? Gives some reasons WHY none of these basses were for you, they are both great basses imho. Throw us a bone and maybe we can help!!! If you want an active bass, have you looked at the Fernandez Gravity deluxe? Others that spring to mind are G&L, sandberg or sadowsky they are active basses with their own distinct sound but not as growls as Spector or stingray. If it is a passive sound you seek, have you tried a U.S. fender jazz 5???
10. Hi Guys n Gals, Up for grabs here is my Schector Daimond Model T as used by Rob Deleo from the stone temple pilots. This lovely bass made in Korea is not a signature model, but is essentially the same bass but with the fuller sounding Seymour Duncan bass lines pickups (think is the spb-2 and sj2b). I have really enjoyed owning this bass, it plays brilliantly with a similar neck profile to my MIM jazz and has a very well balanced sound. You can hear some different tones available from this link, it's a 20 min long video with a few different songs and tonal settings used throughout so should give a good indication of its versatility. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i0SnXAnhK2w I hope Rayman doesn't mind, but here is the link to his original for sale thread http://basschat.co.uk/topic/229462-schecter-model-t-traded/page__fromsearch__1 Bass is still in as pictured condition, and am reluctant to sell this as it has been my main gigging bass since I got it last year, but alas, we can't keep them all and I want to go with a different sound. Asking for £350 inc hard case, only interested in Spector trades please.
11. Just been playing it, it's actually really nice. Much better than its pricetag would suggest! Just stick that fernandes under the bed, and drop Me a message before you decide to do anything with it. Maybe later this year I'll have some cash And buy it off you!!
12. Hey patrick, sorry it's got this far mate, I never thought it would hang around this long. At this price it's madness!
13. Niiiiiice!!! My spector GAS is running in overdrive at the moment, badly gassing for a rebop!
14. This reminds me of every hot rod or modified street car I have ever worked on ( there have been a few!). Patience is the the key here kodiak, if it don't fit, put it back in the shed and have a think about it and seek some advice before you start chopping stuff up. You run the risk of having to continue modifying to to suit the modifications as you go other wise. I know how you feel, it's frustrating as hell, but chill out, have a beer and think about it again tomorrow. The only suction I have come to stuff like this is to only use original parts, eg if you want to build a fender to your own tastes, use withe fendrr it warmoth for your parts. It's more cost up front but easier in the long run
15. Yes, yes, yes!!!! What an amazing bass, if I wasn't skint, I'd be all over this like a fat kid on a cupcake. I still miss my 5 string sub, outstanding basses and great value. Good luck with the sale!
16.
I love the tone of both instruments to be honest... They are two companies who are definitely producing something you cannot get elsewhere.
Just out of curiosity, anyone tried an mec pick up/ pre in a Spector or vice versa? Would be an interesting experiment
17.
On the night via smartphone. Usually multiples for the next year.
Les and I are in the same circuit, this is how we do it also. This is our first year out as a band, and two venues alone have offered us three dates for next year. Strike while the iron is hit if possible, but often the person responsible for the booking is not there in the nite. In this instance you have no choice but to chase in the days that follow.
18. It's a sunburst 4, modded to have a gotoh 201 high mass bridge and dimarzio dp124 dual coil pickups. I'll email some
19. A modded Mexican jazz be if any interest?
20.
Top job. Killer basses, your's looks the same colour as mine. Lovely deep plum! Pity you didn't mention it, as I replace the original Tonepump with a EMG BQC, I've probably got the old one's kicking around. The EMG BQC is a great "upgrade", especially if you run it at 24v ;-)
24v???? I'm assuming you mean 18v???
21. This is a steal. I was looking at leged 6's used for around £400. Why is this still here??? Good luck with the sale mate!
