    I have just completed a purchase of a Spector Chris Kael signature bass with Dave. It’s always a little unnerving dealing with people who don’t have a lot a feedback, but I shouldn’t have worried! communications were excellent all the way through, he told me when it would be shipped by and stuck to it. Bass is exactly as described (faultless!!) and very well packaged ready for postage. Buy with confidence!!! Cheers mate!

    Not string related, but there is a reason that so many 5 string basses are 35” scale. It specifically related to the string tension on the low B. I have owned stingray 5’s and I have a pretty heavy attack. Personally I found the B pretty decent, certainly compared to other 34” scale 5 strings I have played. 35” scale does make the low B much better!

    Open to offers, and will it if someone only needs one. Would be a great upgrade for the squirt/early mex jazz basses that had the same size pickups!

    Up sale is this pair of dimarzio dp123 dual coil jazz pickups. Amazing deep him cancelling in series mode, or can run them parallel. Really versatile pickups. You can wire these up to push pull pots and have versatility on tap Please note that these are a set of 2 x 95mm pickups will split if that helps! £25, postage to mainland U.K. £5 one sold so one still available

    We can only hope mate!!! Time will tell with this deal, Spector is a niche brand and my only concern is that profitability may have an impact. Lets hope it doesn’t lose its family business feel!

    It’s so funny, today of all days @Billy Apple has liked a post from this thread... i am seriously evaluating my position with my current stable, including a rebop 4 that is not pictures above. I have been longing for a 5 string for MONTHS but for one reason or another have not been able to close out a deal. I have even considered the dreaded “W” word... Re reading this thread has made me smile, and reminded me of the simple pleasure these bases provide. When you have them on hand, I guess it’s easy to take them for granted. Cheers Billy!!

    I was told that model didn’t exist!! This is what my bass is, but was told by someone on SBN it was a ns-crfm 🤔

    I was always under the impression that these models were known as a “non lx euro” until I was corrected by those more knowledgable than myself. Without talking to PJ or Stuart, I’m not sure who can settle this. Either way the listing is wrong, it’s either a Euro or its from the 90’s but can’t be both 😄
