1. I sold a pedal to Will. Another no-stress BC transaction. I'd deal with him again anytime.
2. I just sold a pedal to Steve. Great comms leading up to the sale. We had a couple of beers when I delivered the pedal and he's a top bloke. Steve, I can see you spending a lot of time (and money) in the classifieds here. Enjoy
3. Expensive high end rehearsal rooms do have good gear to rent for a practise. But over the years I've learned that if you want any kind of half decent sound in any cheaper rehearsal space, you have to bring your own bass rig. Even though a rented amp may let you sound like a bass, it doesn't let you sound like your bass, in my experience. Especially if you use effects, the amp just won't react the same as you're used to with your own. I always use my own rig where ever I rehearse.
4.
at the end of the day any bass amp sounds 90% like any other bass amp.
You're kidding, right??
5. Only the Blueberry left now. Grab it while you can.

Bursting sound

I've got a Solidgold Beta for sale that might fit the bill. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/258411-dirt-pedal-sale-idiot-box-solidgold-mad-professor/
7.
COG just dials in right
I have to agree with Gaz on that. That COG is a bit special.
8. Up for grabs are three of my distortion pedals. They have been looked after, and are all in A1 condition. I've only ever had them mounted on my board so they all have velcro on the bottom. Prices include shipping on a signed for service. IDIOT BOX BLOWER BOX £80 ***SOLD*** Massive ammounts of distortion with this one. And lots of low end on tap. I don't have the original box for this pedal. https://www.youtube....h?v=fhZk4AlaGYQ SOLIDGOLD BETA £80 ***SOLD*** Thick creamy overdrive to gnarly distortion. Very valve sounding. Also known as the 'Motown' pedal. A cracker. Included is the original box for this pedal. 9. I'll be putting a couple of pedals up for sale here later tonight. My Blower Box will be one of them, if you're interested. The low end isn't just big, it's insane.

Filter Quest!
It does suffer from a volume boost so I will be modding it to fit a standard power connector and master volume control, and maybe even true bypass depending on how the bypass is (still need to test that out yet).
That's the one thing that bugs me with my Mini Q-Tron, the volume jump. I've used it in loops where I've had an EQ pedal set up to bring the volume down, but then that adds a couple more pedals onto my board, and that's not worth losing the space for me. And the Q-Tron is big enough by itself! Are you planning on modding yours yourself? I'd be interested to hear how that works out for you. I may do the same to mine at some point.
11. You keep building them, we'll keep raving about them!
12. I used a filter and a fuzz, filter off for the chorus. That seemed to work pretty well.
13. I think the photo looks fab. but in practise these cabs are going to sound appalling. We are bass players and we care about our sound. As a theoretical uni project maybe its worth pursuing, but put these ideas anywhere near the real world and there are issues.
14. Verb, the TK-421-X is a nasty Rat based distortion. High gain is what it's all about, without low end loss. And it doesn't do subtle. If you want some distortion that's less brutal have a think about the Grand Tarkin. That's sort of a Big Muff but way better.
15. This looks interesting! Is it a fuzz/octave or a fuzz/envelope filter maybe? And what are the z-in and mode functions?
16. She's gonna love that! Major brownie points for you too, and it's a win/win situation all round. Good job.
17.
but damn you for putting the idea in my head of a 2 chorus setup!!
18. I just A/B'd a chorus before and after my TK-421-X. With the chorus after, the wobble of the chorus was really dirty, to be expected. It sounded good though. With the chorus before the TK the dirty chorus wobble had cleaned up a bit and the note definition was much better. I actually prefered the chorus in front of the fuzz, but as always, I'm sure both ways have their uses. Doing it that way was definitely worth trying though. I did try two choruses, before AND after the TK at the same time. That was interesting, a lot of wobble but a huge sound.
19. Blimey, those prices are good. And I spotted right angled speakons too. Interesting. Thanks for the heads up.
20. Exactly which pedals are they? Some photos and details would help you shift these a lot quicker
21.
the chorus into the fuzz is awesome! cant get enough of it Tom also increased the gain available on the fuzz, so the normal max gain is around 3 o'clock and then i can push it a bit further for some super swelled out phat phuzz
Oh man, I've got to give chorus>fuzz a go! I'd never have thought of that
22.
somehow the pic didnt work in my post so i edited it in, that pedal is insane
I'd love to hear that beast cranked up. It looks great too.
23.
looks ace, parallel octaves huh? what you using?
I have a DOD Octoplus and a Pearl OC-07. They are both in one loop, and all my dirt pedals are in the other. Which ever octave I have on can now run in parallel with whatever dirt is selected. It sounds so much better than running octave in series, where it gets a bit messy sounding.
