1. Kevin is a great guy to deal with. He also has teh most awesome fluffy dog ever...
2. all these nice low (ish) wattage valve amps appearing at once. What is a boy to do? If you figure out a way to ship this bad boy, please let me know! Matt
3. how about a boss LS-2. volume control over both basses, simple stompbox format, dead cheap.
4.
I found listening to some of these tracks aspirational, as with the little (and not so little) flaws, I now feel that I have less distance to cross before I get "there".
Aye, but do remember, they are more than likely spliced together in the studio...
5.
Don't do it man, you WILL regret it. I've had mine for over 20 years and have nearly sold it a few times, then i plug it in and remember why i have had it for so long.
Did you sell your 400+, Marten? I loved that amp. With the Mesa 4x10, awesome sound! Matty
6. I don;t suppose you'd be interested in a Highway one US P-bass?
7. I think Tom (Cheddatom) used to use one on his mega board, i'm sure he'll turn up at somepoint. I'm also interested in this.
8. what if you used a relay controlled loop, but rather than a stomp switch, used a toggle that you could have mounted on your bass? You'd have control over your sound, but the compromise would mean moving your hand away from strings to turn on the distortion. It wouldn't be too difficult to setup, and im sure most pedal builders could do it for you.
9.
My 63 P gets out a bit, although this has been usurped by my 3 band Ray34 for playing in my 7 piece of late. However, as we are reducung to 5 shortly, and the remaining guitarist loves the 63, I suspect it'll be getting out a bit more soon. Just to add a bit of spice to the thread here's a pic of mine for those who have missed it in other threads, feel free to follow suit peeps
I don't like Precisions. I Don't like tortie scratchplates. I'm not a fan of rosewood boards. But that is the most beautiful bass i have ever seen.
10. let me know if the offer gets the better of you...
11. Fancy a trade for a 2006 US Highway 1 P-bass?
12. Is the BIT still around? I think it was once mine, and i want it back
13.
Anyone with a Line 6 M13 should buy the LS-2 and I'll tell you how to set your board up as a parallel processor, really amazing sounds for not a lot of money.
Would it work with an M9?
14. James is a top bloke to deal with too. Tempted by this myself. Will check some funds...

18. how do the hartke speakers handle fuzzes and distortion? I've always imagined them to sound tinny, perhaps swayed by the apearance?
