1. Higgie, would you sell the Aguilars for the £600 so you could buy the bag ends?
2.
Very much alive thank goodness, and maybe not quite as iconic as some mentioned here, but does anyone know where Randy Hope Taylor's Modulus 4 went? BTW, I think I've seen most of Lemmy's basses live; first saw them in 1980 and he was using his original Hawkwind bass (see the Ace of Spades video) and the white with black trim one IIRC.
Wasn't someone selling that on here a while ago? 3. Ah right, thanks for an honest answer, probably not the kind of thing i'm looking for in that case. Good luck with the sale though!
4. Jase is a great guy to deal with. Top fella. I think this was mine before it was modded. Nice bass, regret selling it actually.
5. Very interested in these! Any idea when they're going to be availible here, and a price? ta Matt
6. I've only ever used 1 1x15" (an old peavey thing) and found the sound a little lacking in high end detail. Do these have much top end?
7. Damn, only just seen this. Second Bongo i've missed in 2 days!
8. I always wanted to be in a band (and may well in the future) called Awesome Welles...
9. I've heard good things about the G2M, and for the price, its just great value. B2M will be on my buy list when it's released!
10.
As to the critics of his playing... he's an easy target 'cause some of their biggest hits have featured basslines that were eighth note pumping but he's done plenty of nice bass work if you care to dig a little deeper. It may not be spectacular, mind-blowing bass playing but it does show he's more than a one-trick pony... Mysterious Ways Two Hearts Beat as One Stand Up Comedy I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight Wire Last Night on Earth Lemon New Years Day He plays in a band where the guitarist rarely plays traditional chords or arpeggios and the drummer has a fairly busy, often military style and the singer's often off on one. Someone has to keep it together and he does that really well. The comments from other band members about his playing is a long standing story dating back to when they were kids trying to get the band going. Clayton knew all the muso terms and looked like he knew what he was talking about, had a bass, had an amp so it took them forever to figure out the reason they sounded so crap was the fact that he actually couldn't play a note and had no clue. He (or maybe Bono) described his early playing style as "bluff." I think fair enough if you don't like what he or the band does, find it boring, uninspiring, contrived or whatever, but don't say he can't play, 'cause he can. In fact, much of what he does is actually a really good example of the key roles of a bass player - outline the chord progressions, lock in with the drummer to create a groove, support/compliment the melody. Give me the four notes of With or Without You over a heck of a lot of the bass playing that gets lauded on this site any day of the week.
+to the 1! Not a fan of the bass, but if he likes it, who are we to judge? They probably said "what do you want" and he wanted that. At least it's a wee bit more original than another Jazz knock-off...
11. Hi mate. What outputs doesd the head have, ohmage wise? Ta Matt
12. Cool stuff. Is that price including postage? (I doubt it, but just in case...)
13. Is the superfuzz based on an older fuzz? Or is it its own sound?
14. I love my 5 string. Tempted by this one too. Any pics? Is it black or sunburst?

Passive DI's

But won't that just affect level, rather than impedence?
16. Hi there. Interested in the 00funk. Weird quetion, but what sort of size is it? I have a cramped board at the mo, and if i take off my current filter and rearrange a bit, i think i could fit on maybe a EHX xo sized box. ta matt

Passive DI's

Hey guys. Quick question, please be prepared to shoot me down in flames. I love my active basses, but also love my Wooly mamooth. As many of us know, the to are destined to be mostly mutual friends and nothing more. However, I have seen some discussion of the use of a buffer to change the low impedence of an active to simulate the high impedence of a passive bass. given that this is basically the opposite of what a passive DI box does, is it possible to feed my bass into the output of the DI, and feed the pedal fromt eh the input? As it's Passive and basically just a transformer, I can't see why it shouldn't work, but then i have very little knowledge in the ways of electronics and impendence. Just a thought. Matt edit: In fact, my wireless receiver has a balanced output, so if it works, i could go back to running round like a fool too...
18. No, i was wondering the other way! Straight swap is good for me.
19. I have a Carbon Copy sitting here gathering dust. Would you be looking at a straight swap? m

21. Body shape is a bit wrong for a Squier P-bass. Could t be a refinished bullet bass?
