1.
Agree here too, that is assuming you already love your amp.
I do. I have tried A LOT of stuff. The stack I love most is my Reidmar going into 2 12" CL also from EBS
2. Actually I use my VM into a Bass Muff Nano. My board is Tuner-Vintage Microtubes-Bass Big Muff Nano - Zoom MS-60B I use the VM to color my tone, and adding just a bit overdrive. In guitar solos etc. I kick in the Muff, for a fat sounding drive in my bass. The Zoom is just my toy for playing around with.
3. I am looking for a lighter set (300-500 watt)to replace my curtent set-up - a 500 watt EBS Classic + 4x10 EBS CL). I am thinking of an Hartke LH500 (NOT very light weight) and possibly a 2x12. What good sounding cab would go nicely with that Harke Amp? What else could you suggest, for a pop/rock band?
4. I use a Darkglass Vintage Microtubes as an always on mild drive. Does any of you use anything in combinstion with it (reverb, chorus etc.)?
5. I look forward to hear their Darkglass versions of B3k and B7k
6. Anyone Got one of those cheap HB basses? Thinking of getting a really cheap (half price of the Squier) Harley Benton fretless jazz bass, and replicerer tuners and perhaps pickups. Any first hand experience with them?
7. I use my iPad for chords and lyrics. I use the Onsong app, that use files in .txt format (Words can be used, too). I have started a group on Facebook where people can share and get files for that purpose, so if you are interested in sharing your files, or getting them, feel free to join. There are around 1000 songs with chords and lyrics at the moment. www.facebook.com/groups/chordsandlyrics Hope to see you there Steen
8.
The one with the blocks looks to me like the Fender Classic 70s Jazz. Take a close look at the pickups and on this one the bridge pickup should be a tad closer to the bridge than on the other one. When both pickups are selected this one should have more of a "bite" to the sound.
Thanks for the information
9. I have two Fender Jazz basses from Mexico. I would think they were identical, but they are not. One has block inlays, the other has dots on the fretboard. One has "Mexico" and serial number on the front of the head stock, the other has that information on the back of the head stock. Actually the pick ups does not sound exactly the same - one has more "bottom end" to the tone, although the PU's are stock PU's. Can anyone tell me more about mexican vs mexican Fenders?
10. How do you use yours? Mine is always on, using it like this:
11. B3 always...or the cheaper MS60B (also Zoom). B3 is pretty cheap, it teaches you all you want to know about various effects, how they sound mixed together - and there are the amp simulations. Then you get a looper, a drum machine and a tuner. Last it works like an external sound card, so you can connect it to your conputer via USB, and pray/practice/record you bass on the computer. I would buy another B3 in a second, if mine got lost.
What do you use the multi-fx for?
Just to color the sound. I have the B3 and wouldn't be without it, so I will get the MS60B on my board for various options. B3 has a lot of great effects, and the small MS60B has almost all the same stuff

For a small board with a TC Electronic PolyTune -> Darkglass Vintage Microtubes -> EHX Big Bass Muff -> Zoom MS 60B Multistomp, how would you place the different pedals, and why?
14. I know I have had issues with TonePrint via a P bass pickup, via my Jazz bass pickups everything was fine. I talked to TC about it, and they know that some people have the same problem. Try to update the software via a computer
15. I am selling a combo (TC Electronic) and a guy offered me the Ampeg B2-RE head for it. I don't know anything about this Ampeg head - can anyone help me out? Any good - I am looking for a good warm tone Thanks

Zoom B3
My board (a small but perfectly formed pedal train mini) consists of a B3, a VT Bass and my wireless.
I have been thinking the same way. Do you cable board/amp, or how do you set up the wireless?

Zoom B3
You can switch the direction of the signal flow - see page 19 of the manual.
I always turn the amp simulation to the first section, I have noticed that amps sometimes appear last, but that don't sound right to me
18.
Would be good to know where you can get the ebs session 60 so cheap! Personally never got on with line six amps, but ebs are quality
Used (actually got it for something like 50 UK pounds)
19. I actually just got a EBS 60 watt combo at home at the moment. The tone is much better from that little guy, that what I get from my TC Electronic 250 watt combo.
20. I am actually considering getting one of each, and returning one of the two - keeping the favorite one
21.
Believe they have steel bridge too instead of brass. Should be a brighter tone than the original V7.
I also think they have different pick ups, and the bridge pick up has been moved a bit towards the neck for a warmer/vintage tone
22. Sire made a vintage version of the V7 jazz bass. Different picks up position, slimmer neck - and don't the head stock look a bit different too?
23. I like it too. What do you use as a mild overdrive? I like the Xotic BB
24. Is that a clone of an actual pedal, or "just" a bombed up bass effect by Zoom? Handy effect to have, although I think I could get the same result by turning up the bass on the EQ
25. I own the original Darkglass Vintage Microtubes, and I would hate to fork out the extra cash to get the "grunt" effect in their Deluxe version of the pedal. Anyone know how to get something like that - a shourtcut or a cheap pedal to give the tone that edge?
