Zoom B3
You can switch the direction of the signal flow - see page 19 of the manual.
I always turn the amp simulation to the first section, I have noticed that amps sometimes appear last, but that don't sound right to me
2.
Would be good to know where you can get the ebs session 60 so cheap! Personally never got on with line six amps, but ebs are quality
Used (actually got it for something like 50 UK pounds)
3. I actually just got a EBS 60 watt combo at home at the moment. The tone is much better from that little guy, that what I get from my TC Electronic 250 watt combo.
4. I am actually considering getting one of each, and returning one of the two - keeping the favorite one
5.
Believe they have steel bridge too instead of brass. Should be a brighter tone than the original V7.
I also think they have different pick ups, and the bridge pick up has been moved a bit towards the neck for a warmer/vintage tone
6. Sire made a vintage version of the V7 jazz bass. Different picks up position, slimmer neck - and don't the head stock look a bit different too?
7. I like it too. What do you use as a mild overdrive? I like the Xotic BB
8. Is that a clone of an actual pedal, or "just" a bombed up bass effect by Zoom? Handy effect to have, although I think I could get the same result by turning up the bass on the EQ
9. I own the original Darkglass Vintage Microtubes, and I would hate to fork out the extra cash to get the "grunt" effect in their Deluxe version of the pedal. Anyone know how to get something like that - a shourtcut or a cheap pedal to give the tone that edge?

12" cabs

If I say Warwick WCA 112 vs EBS 112 CL, what would you say? The long story is this: In one band I play on a EBS Reidmar through two EBS 112 CL cabs. Best combination I have ever tried. In another band I currently use a Warwick 610, and various heads - but not completely happy with the tone from the 610. I have a Warwick WCA 115 at home that sounds pretty good - and I have been thinking of placing a 12" on top of that 15" (and replace those cabs with the 610 with the band). Since I love the EBS sound, one would obviously choose that one - but would the tone be more "natural" if I went with a second Warwick - the 112? Best thing would of course be to get a complete EBS set, but money is putting a hold of that - so: a Warwick WCA 115 with either a Warwick WCA 112/EBS 112 CL? Please let me know what you think, thanks
11. Great information guys, I value all input very much.
12. For some reason Thomann no longer sell Joyo pedals. Behringer and Harley Benton (plastic cases) but no Joyo
13. Try them, and get the one you like best. I tried all the combos from EBS, and the tone from the 60 was thw one I liked most. I ended up with a Reidmar Head and two 12" cabs from the Classic Series. You should always get the one you love, not what other people tell you to get
14. An owner of a store once told me that Behringer just bought and took apart popular pedals, and made exact copies of them - with cheaper components. Does anyone of you have good experiences with ANY pedals from Behringer? It's a brand everybody loves to hate, and I have to admit that some of the Behringer products I have tried, never impressed me. What it boils down to is tone - is there any pedals from Behringer you really like?
15. I have gone from 10" to 15" because I like the sound of the 15". I use a TC BH500 with a Warwick WCA 1x15" - but that cab is 300 watt in 8ohm. I am thinking of getting another WCA 1x15" - and here is the question: Will it make the sound much larger? I mean 300 watt in 8ohm will not be much in a 500 watt amp (at 4ohm) 2x15" at 300 watt each at 4ohm (2x8ohm) should double the volume. Again, I love the deep full warm sound of the 15", but two of them - will it get muddy?
16.
Interesting point! My cab set up is 2 1x12" cabs with the tweeters off. The Spectracomp is dialled to 6; The gain doesn't go above 4 and the TubeTone is dialled to 5. I also cut the Treble slightly and slightly boost the Lo Mids. Oh, and my bass has an EQ which I cut the treble on too! Don't know if that helps, but I hope it does!
I'll try those settings next time I get near that amp. Thanks for your info
17.
I'm surprised the BH500 isn't doing it for you
Right now I am switching from 10" speakers to 15", maybe that will do something good for my tone
18.
Is there something I'm missing here?
Get your bass and go to a store. Try both combos, and a few others, and let your ears decide
19.
Out of interest - and an idea what your signal chain is, what pedals and bass are you using?
Only one pedal, a Darkglass Vintage Microtubes
20. I have 4x10's and 6x10's but I love my 1x15's (got two of them), and even they don't look huge and macho like the bigger cabs, they play just as loud and have a big beefy and deep sound.
21. Yes, that´s a big ass cab. Actually my EBS 15" cab plays just as good (and since I'm currently trading my Warwick 4x10 with a Warwick 1x15 I might just use that). I don't need anything big and heavy, small packages with a warm fat sound is just up my alley.
22. I am currently using a TC Electronic BH500 and a Warwick WCA 611 cab. I am not satisfied with the sound, it's not "full and fat" enough to my taste. I have been thinking of replacing the Head, maybe a Hartke LH500 would be a good choice, what do you think about it - or do you have other suggestions in that price range? The cab might be replaced with a single Warwick 115 Pro. Thought and suggestions would be very welcome
23. Here is a Little dumb question: I use a Reidmar Head (and a TC Electronic Head in another band). Can the amps gain knob be used instead of using an overdrive pedal? Can the amp be damaged that way? I need a smooth overdrive ikke the Vintage Microtubes
24.
On my MS60b i use a pre>amp sim as a always on light OD/amp sim. my settings are Bassdrive: Bass(0), Trebl(0), Prese(7), Gain (70), Blend(61), Level(34), Mid(8) into B-man: Bass(0), Mid(8), Trebl(0), Mid_F(250hz), Gain(45), Level(58), Deep(off), Cab(BM4x12), Mix(50) I am a bit of a bedroom worrior at the moment, so in a band situation i might lower the mix/mids on the paradriver, and up the b-man's Mid_F to about 350
Thanks Mate, I'll try to skal that setting in on my B3, I'm sure they are pretty much the same gadgets over all
25. Been thinking on getting a Vintage Microtubes for overdrive, although being just one pedal it cost more than the entire Zoom B3 arsenal om effects
