  1. Let it Rain - Derek and the Dominos
  2. Who'll Stop the Rain? - Credence
  3. Did you see a stranger? 😆
  4. I was 17 and the first number was Black Magic Woman, with me singing lead and playing bass. Sooooo long ago. ☚ī¸ 47 years ago. I need to lie down.
  5. I love a Thumb (Oo-er missus!) 😂
  6. No you're not. I get it. I have been playing for 49 years and for me, many were just 'basses'. 😎
  7. What a Difference a Day Makes -Dean Martin
  8. Does that make it similar to a Z3 then? Not sure what the difference(s) would be.
  9. Well, you've got plenty to keep you busy when the nights start drawing in (only just over 7 weeks btw!)
  10. Yep, the Ashula is something I've not had a go on yet.
  11. 'Chops' don't matter in a shop. You are playing for an audience of one - you. See if the bass feels right and works for you. Buying a bass should never be interrupted by feelings of inadequacy. Go for it and enjoy what's out there.
  12. That does indeed, look very pretty. 😎
  13. Absolutely - it's what you make it sound like that's important.
  14. Yaaaaay! It's all been worth it then. Good luck in your search.
  15. Mr Bojangles -Sammy Davis Jr.
  16. Mac the Knife - Frank Sinatra
  17. I follow your exact line of thought. Just read your review of the Peterson and enjoyed it. Brought back memories as I had one when they first came out.
  18. Luckily for me, I'd been working for a decade by then and the band was playing regularly, so I spent a lot on musical gear. I now look at Aston Martin dealerships with the 'ogle' you mention.
  19. Probably. I used a Roland bass synth as my main gigging bass for a few years in the 80's. (Bought it from Jack Bruce as well!) Here's the proof back in the day.
  20. Sounds like a fun day out. I've never tried a Fodera either.
  21. Can't disagree there. 🤗
  22. It would indeed. Good choice.
  23. To cheer up the last Friday in April and move into a long weekend, I was thinking about exactly which bass I would love to try. Not something I've tried before, owned before or such like. Something I might have only read about or seen on the Net. I have decided I'd love to try an Alembic Series II five stringer. What would your pick be?
