I've been through so many different basses, but I think my current crop really represent what I value in bass guitars - a really good jazz and precision sound. So I have a 71P and 71J, a Limelight PJ (with Sadowsky Preamp), a Bacchus Jazz 5 (with Sadowsky preamp!) and a Fender deluxe PJ (which I'm going to sell but is still great). All Fenders or Fender clones. The only outliers are a Rimbass 5 singlecut (such a good deal I couldn't turn it down) and my fretless choice is a Stingray 5 - just sounds wonderful. But mainly it's that fender sound that I feel just cannot be beaten.

I have that exact setup, and love it!

My buddy Tim on drums, he's great!

Ah. Shame. I've had the same one through Bassworld, Basstalk and now Basschat. The original is on a computer that I got rid of years ago.

Bought a Markbass cab form Daryl - very flexible with meetup and cab as described at a good price. Cheers!

I just sold a Peavey Palaedium a year ago. Great bass but not practical for me as a working bass player.

Well, here it is, with Sadowsky Preamp and ramp. Really like it - can't wait to gig with it! Happy Christmas to me! And happy Christmas to everyone here! -
I guess this is why you take a deposit though. I'd give it a reasonable time then offer it to next in line.

Thanks for all the feedback and insight. I have now bought the passive red Bacchus from the gallery (sorry CameronJ) and they are fitting a Sadowsky preamp and a ramp to it. Hopefully pick it up Friday! -

A very positive trip to the Bass Gallery today where Will couldn’t have been more helpful and helped me find some jazz 5s that my small hands can cope with! I liked the Bacchus Woodline DX5 (active) and a Handmade DX5 (passive). The neck sizes really suited my hands, and I quite fancy getting the passive Handmade and putting in a Sadowsky preamp. Just wondered if anyone here had any more info or experience with them - seems quite hard to find online! Thanks in advance!
