  1. I've just found out I've got the gig
  2. I have a mate that will spray something up for me, so if I can source the bits cheaply, it should work But I'll need a spare of course and it won't be the Sherwood green Jazz, not at that price. I could get a 2nd hand Lakland, either the 44-60 or Daryl Jones model (Skyline one) The current Warwick is ugly. I quite like the reverse Warwick, could be worth a chinese punt. As for image, Guitarist has beany and hundreds of guitars on stage, he's a U2 anorak. I supported them last friday in Southend, the guitarist really nails it.

  4. having done a little research the audio of the XSW isn't that good. I was going to but the EW myself but thought I'd try the MI-PRO58. It's excellent the MI-PRO and 400 quid cheaper than the EW. (I have an EW wireless mic, it is superb)
  5. very kind of you Chris, I may take you up on it
  6. I like the sparkly purple thing
  7. Just how I play. One note at a time
  8. They do all eras of the band I dont want to get a signature bass, too expensive but I could repurpose some bits onto an intersting bass
  9. Which Adam Clayton bass would I have to get/ buy/ replicate
  10. I had one of these, great bass. Bought for a Jam tribute I was helping GLWTS
  11. It's got to be the Jaguar hasn't it?
  12. I had a Fender flea jazz. The pickups in that were superb. fender pure vintage '64s.
  13. I did 5 string 25 years ago. Did it for a few years and went back to 4. Fretless and fretted, I easily adapted to 5. I sometimes played a 'd' on the low b. Didn't really like the sound below that Here's a picture of my custom made 5 string made by my friend Andy Crockett
  14. a slightly older audience, well behaved and I spoke to quite a few of them after. And a 10.35 finish. I'd go there to watch bands as it's a earlier start than most pubs
  15. This bass looks like a Precision Lyte
  16. In March this year I picked up a 1964 Hofner violin bass at Auction. I've never played a German one but do have a contempory. It has a wonderful neck, slim, not too shallow and comfortable. I'll probably gig it at some point. I just got a bee in my bonnet about wanting one. Same with the Harlet Benton PB-50. It actually has a great neck, really great since I rolled the fingerboard edges, sounds amazing too. Gigged in my Police tribute For me basses have to look cool, not too flashy (by which I mean, loads of knobs and sitches) and have 4 strings Any colour, I have all colours including a neon pink Brian May guitar
  17. What a great venue. played there last night with my Police trbute and with U2 Tribe. Staff were great and Sam the soundman was amazing. My IEM mix was superb. Can't wait to go back
  18. that's actually a really cool thong to be able to do
  19. Here's my 2 entries 1964 Hofner and 1973 P bass
  20. that's for another day I think
  21. cleared out a load of pictures from the archives, so I have some space back will look at compressing pictures going forward
  22. I'm no IT expert, so don't know any of this Thank you, it makes sense thank you
