4. HI Guys Hope someone can help, i had an Audere pre installed in my jazz a couple of months ago, however i did not get an oppertunity to test it out as my amp is not kept at home, (that an a heavily pregnant wife keeping me busy ), I had a show a couple of weeks ago, and had to retire the jazz as since the the new pre was installed it has developed a very bad crackling sound while playing, it sounds a bit like somebody squashing crisp packets while im playing, as i bought this pre 2nd hand i dont know if theres a probem with the pre or if the guy who has installed it has not earthed it properly, has anybody any ideas, before i call the tech as i cant afford spending anymore cash on this bass ( especially as i became a dad again last week ) could it just be a case of dirty pots? it happens when i turn the knobs but also while playing. thanks loads everybody for any advice

10. I've got a Washburn AB10, that's about £350 ish new, and going second hand for about £200 ish, great bass for the money, tuners are a bit cheap, but a lovely skim neck and the pre/piezo sound good plugged in, slim body too, but needs an amp, I have black nylon labellas on mIne and it sounds great or indeed the much nicer AB 20/30 sometimes come up on here.

22. I would dearly love this bass back, I only moved it on as a part of a trade for a ken smith, which I eventually had to sell, I notice the nice pearl plate I got for it has been jettisoned, a fantastic bass and very striking in the flesh, great punchy musician sound and a great neck, I was extremely fond if this bass, still trying to pass my driving test (very exoensive)and a new baby girl on the way, so will not have the cash for this in a while, I will keep my eye out for her though.
23. These are great basses, i have the later AB10 and it sounds great, the older models have better preamps and probably much better made, i wish this was available when i got mine- bump
24. fantastic, very realistic looking flame, i think im starting with P gas again
