  2. Nope, its a minimum load not a maximum load.
  3. I'll just leave this USA Shorty here:.....😜
  4. Brilliant - that is one of the best bass synth sounds I can remember hearing.
  5. Ernie Ball Round Wound Power Slinky Bass Guitar Strings 55-75-90-110. £15 posted Mainland UK. Cut for 2+2 with 3 or 4 winds around the post. Couple of hours use - not to my taste so taken off. Can send a photo of the actual strings if needed, but they are in excellent condition.

  7. Ooosshh - gotta stop looking at this bass!!
  8. I have another one I could be persuaded to sell.
  9. Wal Mk 1 / Custom / Pro. Now £5500 collected (Lancashire), not keen on shipping given the value but PM me if its a deal breaker. Open to part trades....... Its made from a solid ash body, (not mahogany) and a face wood!. Very unusual on a custom Wal (aka MK1). Basically its a Pro neck on a standard Custom series. It is actually reasonably common for Wal to service basses in this configuration. So, I believe, a Pro 1 neck put onto a Mark 1 body at Wal in 1990. Probably, likely have been a customer request. Set up and plays beautifully. Lots of wear on this bass - cracking and crazing of the finish and cracking and crazing on the headstock. Very common for Wal Basses to have these crack lines in the poly finish on the rear of headstock “volute” area. If there’s a solid colour that suits a Wal it’s definitely black.. Signed off as 1990, and shows signs of use commensurate with this, please do not expect an as new pristine bass. Weight is 4.437 Kg on my digital kitchen scales, so fairly lightweight for a Wal bass of this period. The wait on a new Wal bass is circa 5 years at present! I've tried to capture all this as best I can in the photos added - happy to send more photos and details as required.

  11. Gallien Krueger GK Fusion 550. £500 shipped Mainland UK. I have the original box so can ship safely. A few marks, dings and scrapes on the casing from normal use but all works as it should. The Gallien-Krueger Fusion 550 is GK's first bass amp head featuring an all-tube preamp. The Fusion 550 bass head incorporates a uniquely designed 6-stage tube preamp paired with a 500W version of the high-current solid-state power amp used in the GK 1001RB-II. The rich warmth of tubes, combined with the quick, punchy power that G-K bass amps are known for, is an aural experience you must hear to believe. As if that wasn't enough, GK has inventively incorporated motorized knobs into the Fusion 550 head that allow you to store two different settings. This gives you the ability to dial in a separate overdrive or slap tone and footswitch between them--a first for a fully analog bass amplifier. The Fusion 550 amp also features a simplified version of GK's exclusive 50-W Horn Bi-Amp System. Dial in the horn where you like it, and as you adjust your volume with the master control, the ratio between the woofer and tweeter is preserved. Other features include a tube driven 4-band active EQ and voicing filters with a frequency select for the contour control. The rear panel features include Neutrik Speakon and 1/4" speaker output jacks, effects loop, tuner out, and a footswitch input jack. It also has a DI output which uses an isolated transformer for ultra-quiet operation. 12. I dont think it makes much difference with EMG's. EMG's are much less sensitive (hardly at all in my experience) to distance from string to most other pickups.
  13. Screenshot for output. Dimensions (W x D x H) 19" x 14" x 3U (48cm x 36cm x 13cm)
  14. One five string to rule them all??..... Stingray 5 String would be my choice.
  15. Yes, interesting. Was interested but £2.5k for a MIC bass was a bridge too far for me. I had a MIC D Roc at about £1.5k and thought that was absolute top end on the quality to price ratio.
  16. Modulus FU Funk Unlimited Flea Bass Modulus FU Funk Unlimited Flea Bass - 2004 - £2899 shipped mainland UK. No trades. Good overall condition, small scratch on back of bass, some scuffing on end of headstock and a chip on the underside of the headstock are the only things I can see worthy of a mention - all pictured. Dates from 2004. Weight is 4.196kg on digital kitchen scales. Preamp is a Batrolini NTBT 918.
  17. Interesting bass, these are Made In China, set up in Canada, correct? On the Pre amp specs: Preamp Rupert Neve Designs 2-Band EQ Bass: +/- 12db / 20Hz Treble: +/- 12db / 4.4KHz 20HZ on Bass is low.
