The year Sam ryder came second was brilliant. And I mean that in the way everyone knew Ukraine would win so they all voted for the UK so we would have to host the next ridiculously expensive event without the glory of winning. It was a Europe wide stroke of comedy genius Year after, back to nil points. Which made it even funnier!

Itd be a massive deep dive - all the fx would take a full video each to review. Honestly, they're that good! And there's loads and loads of them! Ive had the 210 a few months and haven't even delved into 5% of it yet!

Limited time Joe Dart Signature Bass, Go…

It's an odd bass. On one hand I've really grown to like them. And the looks. It's also great they've done a sub version. However, when you look at it objectively there's no control for tone or anything, so if the pick up isn't great you're stuck with it. Bonus if it's good though. Although, you're paying for less options and flexibility than a standard sub. As I say, it's weird. And cool. -
There are even fx modules in the amp purely for the eq should you want that. So you can boost and cut any frequency.

Boss Katana 210 combo has everything anyone needs. Minimal upkeep, everything in one box, relatively light (21kg) and all the fx and sounds under the sun. And you can get them for around £450.
-
Yes, it's brilliant, you can create sub folders and different files etc and make hundreds of different patches, all retrievable at the click of a button.
-
On my combo you can set up a library where you can save and upload or download any sounds or settings you make onto your PC. It's fantastic for multiple bands etc. Just load up for that gig before you set off and all your sounds and settings are there without needing to take any pedals or laptops or anything.

Pretty sure the police had an early policy not to have any guitar solos in their songs.

Amps you never tried and then discovered a star or two
la bam replied to BassAdder60's topic in Amps and Cabs
I knew it wouldn't be long before you got back into it Part of the fun is buying, selling, trying and changing rigs and basses. I had an ebs 360hd - amazing amp. Never got chance to gig it, but everything about it was lovely in practice. I'm still a big believer in parametric / semi parametric dials on Amps. -
Great cabs those.
-
That's AB though, not class d. To be fair, they're proper loud. I havent had mine past half way in 2 loud bands at both practice and gigging. But yes, from a marketing point of view I found that a weird decision too.
-
According to some websites that have it for sale its 500w peak, so 250w RMS into 4ohm. 125w RMS into 8ohm. Might be worth someone checking as it does seem a bit mad to release a way underpowered class d head?
-
I'm still a bit confused about this head. In principal it's an astounding head. Everything you could want (apart from a tuner - doh!), but I can't for the life of me understand a 180-250w class d head, and I can't understand less features than the combo. And more so why it's double the price? Couldn't you just buy a combo and take the head out of that? More features, class ab power and half the price?
-
I had one of these years ago, loved it. Had to sell a few years back, but just bought another proper cheap one. They're amazing. I'm gonna upgrade again, and have set a challenge to be performing in a few months with it.
-
I have a katana 210. It's superb. Seems weird to then launch a class d version and what looks like a watered down version of the features of the 210?

The nut is crafted from 10,000 year old mammoth tusk!!!! Now we're talkin!! Yep, get that in!

Ooh, Di out. Great idea.

Keep the ideas coming! So, so far as a rough overview..(apologies if I've missed anything). . Drop tuners on all strings. . Auto tuner on the headstock . Luminlay and LED markers on the fretboard. . Fretted and fret less mod. . Slide able interchangeable pickups. . Pick up selector switch. . Tones styler type tone control . A mix of tone woods. . Filter type eq system. . Mono and Stereo out jack. . Built in internal Roland synth module. . Preamp . Parametric eq for bass lomid himid treble . Built in compressor. . Built in distortion / drive. . Kill switch. . S1 switch. . Smart phone / iPad compatibility. . String thru body option . Emergency tool kit compartment (similar to battery compartment). . Built in wireless option. Sounds amazing If its a hit, there'll be a Harley Benton version in a year or two for around £150

Fliippin eck! I thought I was onto something. That's another dragons den moment ruined then..
-
Do these exist? I've always thought about making these?!
-
Haha, I'm already loving this bass!
-
A vertical plastic flap on the back (like on the hohner headless) that pulls out to make it's own stand.
-
Brilliant so far! A few of mine: Built in tuner On board fx Full selectable parametric eq cut and boost for bass, lo mid, hi mid, treble. Luminlay or led fret markers It'd be good for a laugh if when compiled someone could mock up what the basschat homer Simpson mobile bass would look like!
-
OK, so just for a bit of fun, but also an attempt to see what hardware mods / upgrades are out there at the moment..... What hardware mods are available to create or modify a bass guitar into the most versatile it could be? I'm thinking pre Amps including parametric eqs (for bass, mid, high) s1 switches, pick up switches, knobs etc, different pick ups and configurations. Anything goes. Ie to make the 'Homer Simpson mobile' of bass guitars.

Your agreement wasn't: Play for £xxx and if we make enough over the bar we'll pay it you. It was: Play for £xxx. Any other factors aren't your issue. Pathetic from the venue.
