1. I agree with the OP, but playing devil's advocate... If it turned out that the landlord decided to charge everybody entry that night to cover the band costs but didn't give you any of the ticket money, would you be ok with that? If so, then what if he made the tickets optional and punters could pay whatever they liked - would you be ok with that? If so, then what if he decided to collect the money at the end of the night instead of upon entry? If all that is hunky dory, then I suppose the only time it becomes not OK is when he says "this is for the band" instead of "this is to pay for the band"!
2. WD Music have some great tort on offer, I have one on my P: http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/pickguards-c62/fender-basses-c111/tortoiseshell-t8
3. ..and it turns out Bass Direct listed it as in stock by mistake when they are not arriving for another 3 weeks!
4. Black. Or you know, whatever you think looks the nicest!
5. Luvverly filters these, my favourite from the entire Q-Tron range. I have a standard 9V-tip-to-battery-snap adapter powering mine! This is the cleanest example I've ever seen too!
6. I can't see any differences between the Deluxe and Elite Dimension basses, as they had the truss wheel already... And those Deluxes are on sale with massive discounts at Andertons right now, so much that you could probably buy one and sell it for the same if not more on the used market once they've all been sold and the discount sale has been forgotten about!
7. No sign of it yet... http://youtu.be/agbCsmjTQ98
8. How about a mirror guard? Would blend in nicely with the control plate and bridge and up the bling factor even more! Then of course you'd need to add chrome pickup covers!
9. No, it's not a Bongo: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=252329227034&alt=web http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_CKXM06tt4
10. A bargain if this doesn't see much bidding action! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=252347153818&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web
11. Which EBS pedals? Not that I've tried any of their digital stuff (e.g. the phaser, reverb and possibly the chorus) but every digital pedal I've ever tried introduces some kind of hiss or clock noise when used on a shared power supply; hence I intend to invest in one with isolated outputs like the OneSpot Truetone CS-7. The great thing about the CS-7 is that you can exceed the quoted mA outputs I each socket as long as you don't exceed the total treated for the entire supply. Their support have said it's fine to power a 12V 400mA pedal with it even though the 12V output is labelled 200mA for example. This would let you power the DHA and the lot from one brick!
12. Check out the standard single pickup Sandberg Basic too. It's like a Stingray but lighter with a slimmer neck, a more transparent preamp and the pickup nudged a few mm north, resulting in a warmer sound. Love mine!
13. From demos I don't think they sound like a Ray even with that humbucker in the sweet spot. I like what I hear from the HH models though! Andertons have the American Deluxe models on massive discount right now as they've been replaced by the seemingly identical American Elite line: http://www.andertons.co.uk/Products/Products.asp?keyword=Dimension+bass&type=search&attributeXML0=||||#1460206303837page-1
14. Now in stock at Bass Direct: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Soundblox_Aftershock_Bass_Distortion.html Tons of distortion models (more than the OFD) a comprehensive editor app, ability to blend any two models in parallel or output in stereo, and presets. If the Darkglass model it has is actually any good then that will be worth the price alone!

16. For anyone that was following this thread - looks like this is the replacement for the BSW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4da9vheycZg
17. I prefer a narrow 38mm nut, 17/18mm string spacing, >10" radius board, and a thick chunky neck front to back.
18. The best available option is the one you've already got. Take that money and buy some beers instead!
19. I was really unimpressed with the You're Doom, it does sound good as a base for being fed into a low pass filter for synth stuff though. You should look into the Wounded Paw Battering Ram and Attack Goat: http://www.woundedpaw.com/fx/
20. Good advice here, make sure you try before you buy as your 'upgrade' may turn out to be a 'side grade', or even worse a downgrade! I sold my white VM Precision years ago to fund a US Standard, which did not sound as good as the Squier.
21. I wasn't satisfied with the overdrive in the Zoom units either... Perhaps time to move on to separates and go down the deep rabbit hole of which bass overdrive to buy!
22. Not sure they would be able to replace a POG, most octave up fuzzes just have a hint of octave up rather than being able to replicate a guitar sound if you're going for the Royal Blood thing. For instance I think the Diabolik and B:Assmaster a referred to as octave up fuzzes but you might not think it when hearing them. AndyBassist is a fan of the Red Witch Zeus by all accounts! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO0OD7XpQAU
23. Nice, I was thinking of enquiring about a triple pickup build with a Musicman pickup in the sweet spot and 70s spacing Jazz pickups either side!
24.
Just read this on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/topic/SoundCloud/121663184544798?source=whfrt&position=1&trqid=6267606791148368798
I can't see that working out too well for them, reading the posts on their FB page!

Is there an input level control buried in the menu? I think the other Zooms have one, so try lowering it. Also if you're using a shared non-isolated power supply, try using it with a separate supply as they are pretty noisy when sharing power.
