  1. I fell for the hi mass bollox years ago, swapped out a BBOT for a Badass II, all It resulted in was a lot of arsing around and a higher action, sold it on here, went back to the BBOT, and there I've stayed. The only time I've noticed a difference in a Hi Mass is on one my Thunderbirds, where I replaced the 3 point north Sea oil platform for a Babicz FCH3.
  2. Gouldman Goodness!
  3. I'll go Rickenbacker on Eton Rifles.
  4. That 9 year old doesn't phase me! Yeah he's an amazing talent who would find anything I play a stroll, but jazz is not my thing and I honestly find jazz bass is quite hideous!
  5. Complete and utter lunacy!
  6. It's a shame the Kindle doesn't narrate, it would be fun to hear go a page or two, pause and say "WTF is this shyte? I'm shutting down!"
  7. Yeah the Matt Freeman and the first run of the Squier CV 70's are exactly the same Bass, the only difference is minor and its the supposed Block inlays on the CV. BTW I can vouch that a Mexican Fender neck fits a 70's CV body perfectly.
  8. I'm Making Monsters For My Friends - Dee Dee Ramone.
  9. If MDP spots this, I can see a whole new avenue opening up in his dilapidated shed. 4 weeks later. "I moved the bridge closer to the rear pickup as I felt it would give the Bass a brighter and yet distinctive grunt. Besides that I feel the manufacturers themselves failed to achieve the correct scale length when in the process of making these instruments."
  10. Lace & Whiskey - Alice Cooper
  11. Wild in the Streets - Bon Jovi
  12. It would look even greater burning in a furnace!
  13. Heard a few from this album, it works for me.
  14. I've just ordered a set of nickel vintage fender bushings, they're the same low profile as the Gotoh's and they're the right fit.
  15. Hi J-L P I finally got around to getting a set of those Gotoh 640's for my Vintage Pro, and have found that the bushings are slightly too small for the holes. Did you leave the original Epiphone bushings in, or have you used the Gotoh's? If so, how did you get around that difference in size? I also noticed that the string pole (whatever it's called) could have done with being a bit longer.

    Thomann

Ordered Saturday, received an email earlier from Thomann saying my order has been shipped today.
  17. Such a sad day! He was a solid and yet a much underrated bass player. I was really shocked to see how frail he was when they did the Frantic Four reunion shows.
  18. He currently has the same 7 string Harley Benton advertised with two different descriptions priced at £1,200 and £1, 500.

Thanks ambient that's good to know. Thomann have never failed me with deliveries in the past, so I think I'll take a punt.
  22. I'm thinking of ordering some Machine Heads from Thomann, the total cost inc VAT and shipping is £111. Will I also get stung with import duty on their arrival into the country?
  23. I totally agree with Nancy about the look being much better a cheaper alternative to Kluson (well they were when i bought mine) are Gotoh GB640's, they also have the long stems and are available in reverse and forward gearing, they're also 'Resolite' and excellent quality.
