  1. I wonder if he asked Mr Phillips' advice on that G machine head?
  2. Phil Mogg came out with some gems. Warnors Theater, Fresno 1977. "I dunno whether any of you have heard of Madame Tussauds before? If some of the people down the front ain't careful, they'll be in there!" " Now Listen you old age pensioners down ere, get you fackin' feet moovin' stickin' them up there, what d'you think this is a drinking club? OK, we're fack off now with somethin' from our first album... This is called Rock Bottom."
  3. Bloody Dub - Stiff Little Fingers.
  4. I know someone who could make that a real player by converting it into a wide necked 4 string.
  5. I've just bought a Boss CS-3 off of Sam, totally hassle free dealings, and excellent comms throughout. Thanks Sam
  6. There you go! Two Classic Pro's and a Vintage Pro.
  7. Looking good Paul
  8. Seems cheap by today's prices, but as you know £200 went a lot further then, than it does now! Back then I was living in the North East, there was young lads in local bands who had Fender's and Gibson's, but they were the lads who's parents were well off, they were a minority. I got left some money by an aunt and I bought my first decent bass in 1983, a brand new £240 Sunburst Squier JV Precision, from Guitarzan in Middlesbrough, I got ribbed for owning one of Fender's "Poor cousins".... "Oh how that assumption got turned on it's head!" I sold it under duress in 1990 for £250.
  9. Those with recording deals certainly were.
  10. Still a lot of coin back then
  11. Precisions and Ric's weren't exactly cheap in the mid to late 70's £400+ quid was a big wedge back then.
  12. I wonder who'll be next? Blind Faith and The Scorpions?
  13. Steve Garvey of The Buzzcocks played one when I saw them in 1978. Also post punk legends Death Cult/The Cult bass player, Jamie Stewart. Dreamtime live at the Lyceum is Stingray heaven.
  14. You could stick the machineheads in a jiffy bag with two 1st class stamps on chuck it in the post box, Job done. Help the lad out!
  15. Really? I'm at work for 6:30AM and finish at 17:00 and I still manage to get things in the post!
  16. PM sent
  17. I prefer the one on the right, the one on the left is an anti English tw@t!.... Just like most on the left these days!
  18. Bought a Seymour Duncan SPB 2 off of Ordep. The bloke is a total pleasure to deal with, great communication and quick delivery. Thanks again mate. Regards, Pete
  19. R.I.P. Charlie Watts. Another legend has gone.
  20. I never said that the Gibson Thunderbird I tried back in 2012 was bad. I just didn't think it was worth the extra £700, after I'd tried the EPI Classic Pro. In fact the Gibson would be here now if the Epi hadn't been there at the time. IIRC I'm sure Epiphone stopped their Classic Pro run in 2015 at Gibson's request, because it was denting their sales?
