2. Took a trip to Leicester to have a look at Waynes SGC. First time I have seen one of these basses and I must say I was impressed with it. Very nice person to do business with and a pleasure to meet with yet another decent BC'r. Thanks Wayne.
3. Just bought Steves Jet King. Really nice chap to do business with and a pleasure to meet him. Thanks Steve,

5. Has this chap got insider knowledge? He says................'This company have now disappeared and you can no longer buy this model online from their web site. I'm moving the price from originally advertised knowing the value of Wesley instruments has increased overnight! 6. Steve, had a quick look and found this: http://idle.slashdot.org/story/11/08/29/148239/environmental-enforcement-agents-targeting-guitars Only had time to glance at it so not sure if it contains anything of use to you. Regards, Mark.
7. My ears started ringing as the text got bigger! Glad to see the tool got a winning bid he deserved.

9.
Having a sort through some old PDFs and found this - I forgot I had it to be honest. I hope it's of use to others.. http://www.jerzydrozdbasses.com/
Thanks for that. As a relative newbie when it comes to set-up, that will come in extremely useful. It's now on the Kindle for handy reference Regards, Mark.

Just met up with Will (again) and bought a couple of basses from him. Absolute gent and a top person to deal with. Thanks Will. All the best, Mark.
11. Got one also in the same colour. I am not going down quite the same route as you Rob, I don't have the skills/kit/friends for routing out cavities but, I fully intend to hone my skills when it comes to fret dressing, changing tuners and sticking a Wilkinson pup on it. I have also ordered a dark grey marbled scratchplate, pup cover, thumbrest and a set of flats for it. All the best for your projects. That Jazz pup looks good and the black bridge makes me think I might have been a bit hasty getting a chrome hardtail for mine . Will post mine when the bits have arrived. Regards, Mark.
12. Jerry, I am currently mucking about with a project Westfield B1000 with a maple neck. I have ordered a set of black block adhesive inlays on Ebay from a guy trading as Zooleng in Singapore. I have paid £4.42 (Free p+p). I will let you know a) if I get them and if they are worth less than a fiver. Mark.
13.
Having just bought an AV 62 Jazz, I needed a thumbrest (or tug bar) to finish off the look. Did a quick google, and came across this place, selling good looking ebony ones (amongst others): - http://www.classicgu...thumb_rests.php Placed an order at 08:11 on Saturday morning, and had a personal email from Guy (the chap who makes them) at 08:56, to tell me my order had been despatched. It arrived today (Monday), and is now fitted to the bass. Nice to get a good product, at a good price, with excellent service.
Another satisfied customer here. I have an ebony rest on my DIY Jazz from Guy. Top bloke who actually replies to emails. We even swapped photos of projects we were working on at the time.
14.
Reported. Cannot abide that sort of behaviour.
+1. They shouldn't need Ebay to sell this for a good price anyway. Plenty of collectors out there would love this.
15. I forgot to mention the weight of the finished bass: 11lbs. Ouch. Regards, Mark.
16. I have never been a big fan of 5's but that is a damn fine looking bass. Hope it sounds as good as it looks tonight (which I am sure it will). Cracking job. Regards, Mark.
17. Nice job Alex. I have just done one in Danish oil myself, probably won't be the last either. Regards, Mark.
18.
Whats the next project? Andy
Well Andy, there are rumours around these parts that many years ago, as far back as the 1980's, someone with a fairly large garage started to use the back end of it for storage. Kids left home, too much stuff in the house etc etc..so a clearout was undertaken (possibly on a dark, windswept night whilst a lone wolf howled in the distance.......or possibly not....might be over-egging it there). I have it on good authority that, amongst the stuff that went in there were 3 guitars, one of which is a bass. I intend to mount an expedition in the next week or so to go in search of it. Nobody knows how old it is, what make it is or even what colour it was. I reckon this should be interesting. I will keep you posted as to what I find in there. Regards, Mark.
