2. Just got home from the bash. Had to leave early but thoroughly enjoyed the time I had there. Great to meet other BC'rs in person and see some quality basses and gear. Thanks to everybody for a very pleasant couple of hours, especially the organisers. The cakes were cracking and Roland Rock makes a good cup of coffee. All the best, Mark.
3. I bought a neck and a set of tuners off of Dunc. Exactly as described and bullet proof packaging. Lovely fella to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to buy from again. Thanks Dunc All the best, Mark.
4. I have been struggling to find tuner bushes for an old Jap neck project. I met up with Will (2X18) a couple of weeks ago and he advised me to contact Howard. One week later I have the bushes. Thanks Howard, it will be great to get this thing back together again. All the best, Mark.

2X18 feedback

I met up with Will again this morning to take delivery of a jazz body I have bought from him. Cracking chap to deal with. It was a pleasure to see you again Will. All the best, Mark.
8. I still have the SGC SB310 I bought off of Jahfish last year. Really nice chap to deal with. Have a bump on me mate!
9. What Do You Want? by Adam Faith. Can't say I noticed at the time. Good old Wickipedia.
10. Is this any good? http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/al-green-let-s-stay-together-bass-tab-s24907t2
11. It looks very little like the model depicted on the Fender website. As Yorks5stringer has said, wrong pickups. Wrong logo, the bridge on the Modern player looks a bit chunkier and I can't find a Jazz with rosewood board with blocks on offer either. I think the 'made in China' bit might be right though.
12.
if you want to pay £250 for what looks like a re-badged Hohner, feel free
£250? Pah! Chicken feed. I would rather pay the BIN price on Evilbay and have that wonderful PayPal buyer protection thingy: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fender-precision-bass-/160915911461?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item257755f325

14. This is one of the Jazz kits from diyguitar I assembled and finished last year. The hardware is nothing to get excited about but it is funtional. I fitted Wikinson WBJ series pups because I had a set spare and they sounded better than the ones that came with the kit. The strings that came with the kit were just plain nasty, it's now wearing Fender flats. The body turned out to be 4 part construction with a confused (my best stab at a description) grain. I ended up using Danish Oil as a finish because aerosol paint hates me. The neck is fairly decent but it 'aint much like a Jazz. Mine is 40mm at the nut. The last (or probably first) thing to consider is; with the covers fitted, this dainty little beast weighs in at a full 11lb. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/ykgZ_TekmoHxcTVmTFQCptMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink I really enjoyed putting this kit together, it's a good way to gain a little experience and there is a great deal of satisfaction from owning and playing an instrument that you assembled yourself. All the best Mark.
15. Just taken delivery of a bass from Tom. Good communications and bomb-proof packaging. I would definitely buy from him again. Cheers Tom.
16. I bought a set of pickups from Paul. No hassle, fast delivery and well packed. Cracking chap to deal with. Thanks Paul.
17. Just received my wiring kit from John. Excellent quality and super fast delivery. I have 2 more projects in the pipeline and will definitely be ordering more. Thanks John. Mark.
18. It looks like a Surveyor 414 but I may be wrong.
