  1. Yes, that exactly. Still not quite got my head around transitioning from the high C to the F, but it's fun.
  2. Hah! The guitarists in my band were gutted I had a request at all 🤣 Never had that before! Joel over at BassEmpi.re asked if he could interview me, and I eventually got round to it after waiting on some pictures. https://bassempi.re/horas-bassist-mike-on-crafting-doom-metal-with-cornish-witch-trials-lore/
  3. It looks really neat and tidy though. I like it!
  4. Ah yes, one person at a keyboard isn't working? Adding a second clearly won't get in the way... Also I do prefer to add nonsense on screen while I hack someone's computer. Really let them know they're being hacked! 🤣
  5. Guitar pickups tend to have threaded mounting holes. I don't think bass pickups tend to do that, so you'd need some way of fastening a nut to the underside or tap a thread into the bass pickup. If you can engineer something that works, I'd say go with whatever seems like the smallest headache!
  6. And Ashdown have put up a video now. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4qKRAuLa26/?igsh=OGRhZGY5OWgzZDQ=
  7. Jaco... I don't really like fretless bass. I don't like burpy bridge pickups soloed. (I mean, who wants to listen to burps?!?) I can appreciate the musicianship, but I really don't care for what he does. It doesn't speak to me at all.
  8. Yeah, and with appropriate cables and the wireless footswitch, you could potentially even gig with it as a fly rig on a tiny pedalboard. Mount a battery underneath as an extra power supply. Make a little box that connects the Katana Go to a jack cable so it's all neat and tidy and send the headphone out to a DI box. Pass through from the DI can go to a powered speaker. I must say I think I'd quite like one. If the sounds aren't that different from my GX-100, I'd be a happy bunny.
  9. This looks good. Guitar and bass tones. I think this might be the Goldilocks device for me at the moment. Not that I'm in a position to buy at the moment, but it's cool. £120, option to add (expensive) wireless footswitch. Doesn't do the head turning thing of the Waza Air, but still seems good. Anderton's have a video on their product page too. https://www.andertons.co.uk/boss-katana-go-personal-guitar-headphone-amplifier
  10. I wish they'd stop making AI for things that humans like to do and focus on things that humans don't like to do. I don't want it to make music for me. I want AI to trawl through the internet in its entireity to find the best insurance deals, not just price comparison websites. Or one that scans a recipe and adds the ingredients to my online supermarket shop, highlighting somewhere that sells something my supermarket doesn't stock.
  11. People tend to have smaller cars here? Or are we just more sensible? No idea really. A big rack unit never appealed to me personally - I don't want to carry more than I need to and I prefer the form factor of pedals/multi FX to rackmount gear for stage use. If I was touring stadiums, I can really see the advantages of rack gear. It can all be safely stored and moved, spares can be kept in the same rack, etc. For playing pubs and small venues, I'd say it's a bit overkill. I'm sure there will be others who disagree though!
  12. It was screen printed onto a Gildan t-shirt. I've got one and it's washing really well.
  13. We've had some some made by this lot. About £6 per t-shirt. Took about three weeks for the first run, only about a week for the second. I guess it takes longer to get the initial thing made up. https://www.vinosangre.com/
  14. I do actually have one custom made by Flightcase Warehouse, but it is with me in Bristol. If you can make that work, drop me a message.
  15. If you want to use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), you'll (generally) need an Audio Interface. An audio interface is a bit of hardware you plug into your computer, usually using a USB cable. It converts your analogue signal into a digital one, ready to be processed by the computer. These generally have an instrument level input on them, so you don't need a dedicated DI, especially if you want to keep it simple. Within the DAW, you can then add plugins (digital effects) to your signal and process it should you feel the need. You can get amp simulations, compressors and all sorts, like you'd find on a multi effects pedal. in the DAW, you can also have the song you want to play along to on a separate track, so you can play along to it within the same piece of software.
  16. @hiram.k.hackenbacker - interesting you say the tone control is the secret. I've modded my combustion to have a master tone control. I rather like it!
  17. I once played a supporting slot for St Vincent back in 2009 if that counts. I didn't get to speak to her or anything, but it was a fun first gig for the band!
  18. Should be alright. My Dingwall is in drop C all of the time at the moment. I'm using the Payson set for it. Sounds great. I've even tuned up the A# string to a C as well.
  19. My cousin's husband released an album yesterday of folk music. I've been listening this morning and it's really relaxing...
  20. Ashdown do a similar device for less money: https://ashdownmusic.com/products/b-stock-phone-box-headphone-out-di-box
  21. No reverb at all on the bass one...
  22. Post Rock: Mono - Holy Ground Sorry, this is the whole performance, but it is SO worth the watch. Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand in Mine Sigur Rós - Glósóli
