  1. I was expecting that they were going to do that when they introduced the MIDI implementation and the 5 button Darkglass foot switch. It feels like a really natural progression. Then you could use the foot switches on the Anagram for patch navigation and turning the tuner on, and the 5 button for scenes. Ideally, what I want is a bigger Anagram with more foot switches and an integrated expression pedal with a toe switch so I don't need an external MIDI device to get the best out of it. Three foot switches is too limiting for me.
  2. Looks like it. And a lever to clamp the string at the "headstock".
  3. Looks like they're properly announcing headless Dingwalls at Guitar Summit this year. Doesn't appear to be any other details yet. The little wings for the headstock so it fits on a hangar seem odd, but it's nice they've thought about it.
  4. You underestimate, as my wife calls them, my "big flappy feet" 😂
  5. I bought some bass string cufflinks from Etsy for my wedding a few years ago. Looks like the store is closed now though.
  6. What about something like the Boss MS-3? With the different loops you could easily have a few pedals to tweak, but retain the patches of a regular multi effects pedal too.
  7. I like the meteora shape, just wish they did a 5er. Other examples exist too. F Bass are a prime suspect. It clearly takes a certain amount of skill to blend them all together, but it just looks wrong in that direction to me.
  8. Those fades from the bottom to the top. Really don't understand why anyone would think this looks good.
  9. What were you Googling when you found that? 😂
  10. I went to see it tonight, and I wasn't disappointed. Short but sweet and lots of big laughs. I feel like they edited it quite ruthlessly. I want to watch it again!
  11. I got it back in around 2010/11 I think. £500 on eBay!
  12. Here's my 76 Mustang. Lovely little bass. It's got an almost 40mm nut, so it's fairly chunky for a short scale. I've put Hipshot Ultralights on it because the original tuners were knackered, a stainless steel refret and it needed a refinish when I bought it, so I did a bad job of a white blonde nitro, complete with a black vinyl racing stripe decal and matching strap! All wear on the body is by me since refinishing it. It's been to Japan and back with me. I dont' have much call to use it right now, but I'm not sure I can part with it! It was my first Fender, and it just fits me. And here's me (when I still had hair) playing it on tour in Japan back in 2012.
  13. They are certainly an acquired taste. Their office is just out of Bristol on the Bath Road. I've been tempted to pop in sometime but it never seems to be the right time.
  14. Guyker told me that they will be coming out with some ½" lightweight tuners at some point this year. I've heard their hardware is pretty good.
  15. On an Android, long press the number keys and it'll suggest fractions or superscript numbers.
  16. Looks like there's a new software version 1.5 with more distortions. I really want to check one of these out. @LukeFRC a Valhalla plugin would be insane! I'd love something like that. A guitarist in an old band used to loop everything live and ran Valhalla. It was a huge swirling beast!
  17. Playing in Newquay at Project 83 in a couple of weeks with our friends, Tüsk. Promises to be a fun night and free entry!
  18. I've got tickets with my brother for next Friday. We watched the original so many times as teenagers. I can still quote most of the film.
  19. Wow. That video was great. Makes me want to try and build a guitar tone in a multi fx with just drive -> EQ -> drive -> speaker as the signal chain.
  20. Burny Thunderbird? Yes please!
  21. Steve at Hawker Repairs has done some really good work for me before, including a really complicated repair on my Dingwall after the strap button screw sheared off insite the top horn. Give him a call and see what he says. https://www.facebook.com/hawkerrepairs/ But yes, if you're ok with soldering, it shouldn't be a big job. Take the switch out, and put a picture up here and someone will be able advise what you need to buy.
  22. I was a big fan of my KZ ZX10s until I took a long break from them and I don't like them at all now. On a whim I bought these budget earbuds: QKZ ZXT. I'm pretty blown away for the price and as a single driver unit. The same foam tips that fit the KZ stuff for these. The highs aren't harsh, they still have replaceable cables, and they're under a tenner. They're not flat response, but they sound musical. I'd wager they'd be a good backup set of IEMs. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvHNp8K
  23. I think the pricing is at an odd point. Not enough to be premium, but too high to be budget. Just kinda sitting in no man's land.
  24. I think it's really important to make sure that everything in the signal chain works with the band you're playing with. If it doesn't and you sound like mush, then it should be removed. We're all constantly thinking about how we sound in the band context and it shows from the comments we get after gigs.
