1.
It's a joke, I think...
Sorry, too subtle for me.
 2.
I think you'll find it was all Carol Kaye.
I'm not sure you're talking about the same song. New York Minute by Don Henley from the album Building The Perfect Beast, has Bob Glaub, Larry Klein and Pino credited on bass. I don't have the track listing to hand, but it certainly sounds like Pino's fretless playing to me.
 3. Where'd it go???
 4. How about one of those "Faker" logos in Fender typeface?
 5.
I forgot to mention, his bridge was honed and his nut demagnetised to reduce flux capacitance, so all in all it was a sweet deal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjCRUvX2D0E
 6.
Such bargain. Shame I already placed my order for a different colour! If I have the extra cash I wouldn't mind having two 55-02's!
You can have two. That's allowed!
 7.
lucky for me, I don't like that kind of wood/finish... ouch, the USA Laklands are not cheap, eh?
That's obviously a used bass too - a new 55-94 Deluxe would set you back well over 3K... great basses though!
 8.
if only it were that simple... No Stingrays made with wide string spacing, I'm afraid and the lakland 55-76 (single MM pickup at the Stingray position) is so rare! The neck on the Lakland 55-02 is wonderful. I never tried the 4-string counterpart, 'though.
I had never heard of that one until now - and here is one for sale... you wouldn't get much change out of two and a half grand after shipping and import duties though! http://www.thebassplace.com/basses-used-basses-c-17_36/used-lakland-55-76-deluxe-flame-maple-5-string-bass-amber-p-1232
 9. A rather unusual entry in the 'Musical Instruments / Guitars / Bass' category, but I suppose it might make quite a good home for the itinerant bassist.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IFOR-WILLIAMS-HB511-2012-HORSE-TRAILER-/151203027555
 10. Fantastic (as all his preamps are!) East MMSR 3-band 4-knob preamp for Stingray bought new from John last year - volume, treble, stacked mid with sweep and boost, bass. Boxed with instructions, excellent condition, was only installed for a couple of months, but I've now sold the bass it was in. NOW SOLD pending payment.
 11. A circle? Boring. Surely a crucifix or a swastika would be more rock 'n' roll....
 12.
He's got most of your old basses
Dear god, my reputation precedes me!
 13.
Has Dave Swift ever played the same bass twice?
Err, yes, but have a look at his incredible bass collection on his website ( http://www.daveswift...ges/basses.html ) and you'll see why he may have some difficulty choosing...
 14. I've got a Letts 5-string Scroll bass already... yours is very pretty though.... B-E-A-D-G-C... errr... F??
 15. A very pretty thing, but a few too many strings for my poor brain to handle... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-String-Custom-Made-Letts-Bass-Guitar-with-Aguilar-OBP3-preamp-and-Hard-Case/400635442727
 16. It's a Roadster body, but the headstock looks not quite right - could be either a custom neck, or an early prototype...
 17. Now listed on eBay, so only available for sale here if reserve has not been reached.
 18. Looking out the box and manual and heading for eBay...
 19. Sorry, I'm after a straight sale only, which I admit may be a bit of a long shot this close to Christmas. Plenty of interest, but it's still here. Go on, make me an offer - I can only say no!
 20.
I am on the lookout for a combo but was thinking nearer 250 watts. The TC electronic BG250.... are available for under £300 new. How does this compare?
Never played through the BG250, but it looks pretty good - that said, what the Roland may lack in output (and either of them are going to need an extension speaker to get properly loud) it makes up for with quite a few more features - have a look at the specs: http://www.roland.co.uk/products/productdetails.aspx?p=1144 The cheapest I could find the TC was £310 - who's selling them cheaper than that??
 21.
A great bloke to deal with
Thanks Mark - likewise!
 22.
Couldn't you say it's a 2-tone fretboard and looks different according to the ambient light?
Might have been worth a try, but unfortunately the other one's not a Cherryburst!!
 23. Very, very nice. I had the slightly later dark brown fretless version in the early 80's. What's the approximate weight?
