1. I'm looking at using a drum machine, a synth, a Korg KP3 and eventually a sequencer, probably a Beatstep Pro, with my ambient/prog rock band. The problem is, being a relative electronic noob, I'm unsure of the best way to connect this all up together and also to keep time with the band. For example, say we have a section of percussion on the drum machine that comes in part way through a song? Or we have a sequenced synth melody. These all need to be played in time with the band and I wouldn't want to rely on tap tempo. I think I need a metronome that can sync all this together - and that the band can hear via in ear monitors (any advice on IEM's would be welcome although I see there is another thread for this). It's been years since I delved into midi and it looks like I'll be delving again, but I think I need to be able to set a master clock from one device, I could bring a lap top into the equation, but the band members would also need to be able to hear it as a metronome. Haha, I don't think I've explained myself at all well, and may edit this post later. But if anyone can decipher my gibberish and offer any advice that would be great.
2. The ultimate disco bass! Saw this in the other thread and thought 'wow' when I saw it, gorgeous, if it was a Jazz/Elwood, I'd be all over it. GLWTS.
3. A Maruszcyk Hellwood - I don't even play metal anymore but it looks soooo badass!
4. Great video and excellent reviews! I was set on a Hellbass but your two look amazing and are making me have a re-think!
5. I'm looking to sell/trade my minty new Korg Arp Odyssey. Looking for £650 posted recorded delivery or towards a trade for a nice Jazz with cash either way depending on watcha got. I bought it about 4 months ago, played it for a month and not touched it since. It's an amazing analog synth but between playing bass and learning to play the piano I just haven't the time to spare for this little beauty, and I hate to see good instruments lying around unused. It comes with all the paperwork, leads and case, original box etc -it looks brand new. Here's a youtube link showing differnt sounds you can make with this synth (not me playing!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHRk_16VZrA I've added a stock photograph but can add photo's of my one upon request. It's the same version as the one in this pic - the orange and black one - Mark 3, I think.
6. I used to play every hour I possibly could, always have done, since I was a kid. But have been in a bit of a bass malaise over the passed couple of years. I tend to only play at band practice and my skills are noticeably not what they were. I bought a synth piano thing and have learned to play a bit. I play that now almost everyday. I get way more enjoyment from playing a tune badly on the piano than playing my bass. If the band goes south then I doubt I'll pursue bass playing other than for nostalgia - and I doubted I would ever say that!

11. Love the tone out of my Ashdown Little Bastard and would love to get an all tube amp powerful enough for rehearsals. I couldn't deal with any overhang though - anyone know any all valvers that would sit nice on top? Must add - changing the cab isn't an option.

16.
I have a Dunlop volume X, it's well made, and works great. It doesn't seem to affect my sound at all.
Do you use active or passive basses with it - and does it make a difference?
17. Thanks for that - looks like the 6168 is the 250k model for passive instruments. I have an active bass but might take a punt. Will think on.
18. Hi mate - is this the 250k or 500k model?
