What does Tech21NYC know about the SansAmp anyway

I tried the battery with XLR phantom power disengaged and power supply removed, also tried a couple of different XLR cables and 1/4 cables to rule that out. I've tried again just now with phantom power, power supply and battery and everything is working just fine using multiple outputs, no idea what the problem was yesterday but I'll send it back for replacement if it happens again. I'm really happy with it apart from that hiccup, it's miles better than the Ampeg I was using

Well my two day old V2 keeps losing power when I connect the parallel out or 1/4 out to my amp or interface, LED starts to dim and sound slowly cuts out as soon as either of these are plugged in. Seems to work fine when just using the XLR output by itself. That's when using phantom power from my interface or a seperate power supply, it won't work at all with a battery.

I've only ever played an Oasis song once by request at a wedding (Morning Glory) because they picked the setlist, and I really can't recall ever hearing any other bands covering them despite their popularity. Most members of the cover bands I've played in are fans of theirs too but their songs never get past the long list for whatever reason, I think they're more suited to solo acoustic gigs and personally think there's much better choices for a band to play.

But why though, what is it about that scenario in particular?

I'm plugging the bass into the pedal (battery power) which goes into a DI box which goes into my interface, which goes into my PC via some noise reduction gizmo, I haven't tried it with a power supply yet so that's my next step. I think ped is right in saying it's probably just a noisy pedal because every other one I've tried is fine on battery power. Hopefully a power supply sorts it but if not I'll have to buy myself a Sansamp or something, what a shame 😁

Yeah I've already checked that and it's set for passive, looks like it's knackered then!

I made a short video comparing the noise levels of the Ampeg, a Boss EQ and a Big Muff. All pedals had fresh batteries before I started recording and use the same cables and interface settings. The Ampeg gets really noisy as soon as you engage it or add mids /treble, while the other two stay relatively noiseless however you set the controls. I'm leaning towards a dodgy unit, what do you reckon?
