    This is a great sounding piece of kit, it gives you the choice of two independent drive tones from a light overdriven pre-amp to heavy drive and fuzz. The different drives are moddeled on famous pedals: Tone Bender, Rat, Wooly Mammoth, Tube Screamer are all there; plus overdriven valve amp and gated fuzz - there's also an input for a Hot Hand to control the gate. Each channel can have the drive, level, blend and EQ independently set, so gives you a lot of versatility. It's in very good conditon, has the original box and power supply and has velcro on the base. Price includes UK mainland shipping, would part-ex against either a Joyo Orange Juice or possibly a fuzz of some description.

[/quote] I had an Ashdown Lomenzo overdrive, it sounded brilliant (at least it did through a tweeterless cab), but it's footprint was a pain. Particularly as I took the chassis off at one point and found the PCBA was only a small proportion of the pedal, and sparsely populated at that - they could easily get it into a small enclosure.

    I'd be inclined to sell everything and buy new ones out there. Of course, if you have emotional attachment to any of them, then that's different. However, whilst the £/$ exchange rate isn't what it was, you'll still be at an advantage, particularly with the typically lower retail price of instruments over there.

    I'm liking the sound of the Joyo, particularly at that price point.

    If it wasn't for the fact that our singer has upgraded his monitors, so it's now feasable to just DI with a pre-amp, then I'd keep this little cracker, but you know - GAS It weighs virtually nothing, it's got buckets of power, has a 4 band EQ; a built in, footswitchable overdrive circuit and all the inputs and outputs you could want. The sound is much warmer than I was expecting from a GK head, it can certainly do the clear, driven sound GK are famous for, but is much more versatile than I thought it would be - the 4 band EQ, enhance and drive circuits see to that. Did I mention it was light? It's like, silly light; I've had a Genz Streamliner before and it'a much lighter than that. Also it can even fit in the pocket of a gig bag if you're really pushed for space. I got a quote for shipping it to Ireland and the Post Office scales had the entire thing (amp, footswitch, cables, packaging) at less than 3kg. I put a Tim Commorford inspired warning label on the footswitch; I think it's cool so I've left it on, but I can remove it should you feel differently. The price includes UK mainland shipping and I have the original box to send it in. The only trade I'd be interested in would be for an EBS Microbass II with cash my way.     I've actually got a Source Audio Soundblock 2 at the moment, and I really like the tones on offer, but I find the programmable nature of it difficult for live use. I'm not committed to changing, but I do find myself wishing I could make changes to the pedal during a gig without re-programming it.

    A mate of mine sent me this, it's Schism by Tool, but someone has adjusted the original recording so it's in a major key rather than a minor, it sounds great, (unsurprisingly) a completely different feel to the song.     I'm thinking about changing up some pedals, what would you suggest for a light drive to give a more aggressive, but not overly distorted tone? I like to use something more aggressive sounding for Chelsea Dagger, Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor, Enter Sandman etc. Bass Soul Food? Xotic BB Bass? Something else?

    I used to have one, so quite familiar with them, though it sounds like yours has a different neck profile, the one I used to have had a very narrow jazz neck, to the point where it made a jazz feel chunky

    I'd guess a G&L Tribute M2000 with it's ceramic (but not neo) pickups and 18v 3 (but not 4) band EQ is probably the closest you'll get without spending Bongo money.

    Very well, I was in a drop-B tuned metal band when I had the 4x10 and it handled that no problem and gave a very clear, articulate tone.
