1.
http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c5b0eb346 That looks a bit more like early Alembic neck throughs. Is it Matsumoku? It doesn't look it. I'm wondering if it's a bit more pizza than it is sushi.
Oh yeah I like this! Will be keeping an eye on this.
2. An excellent way to test potential partners at speed dating events too.
3. Preferably a straight sale but would consider cheaper fretless 5's
4. I was looking at this and thought oo I wonder if they do a fretless version... D'oh!
5. I'm in (and run) 3 main bands and dep for others. It just takes careful management. 1 of the bands is jazz/swing and we only play during the week, which helps.
6. Thanks Dad. Thanks erm, 'Uncle' Satrugar!
7. 1999 Stingray 5 in lovely pearlescent purple with mirrored pickguard. In good condition albeit with a couple of minor dings to the front. It's a Stingray and does the Stingray thing! Any Cardiff - based buyers are more than welcome to come try it out (well anyone is if you're prepared to travel!) NOW £725 for quick sale!!!
8. Do they do a fretless 5? Can't find it as of yet..
9. What new track did they play in Brighton? They played one called 'Shark Tank' in Bristol - heavy as funk!
10.
I got the feeling there was a musical appreciation of them, not wishing to do down audiences in Bristol or elsewhere, perhaps your answer is nearer the mark. Was it a Bristol Uni music dept night out?
Pretty much everyone who's studied Jazz in Cardiff in the last 10 years was there
11. Think there's still tickets left for Corey Henry in Bristol next month... Also - I met Michael League! Well, I shouted "Well done!" at his face from a short distance away anyway.
12. I was there too great show! Tickets booked to see Corey Henry next month too
13. Partial trade for Trace Elliot T-Bass?
14. Loved this band! Followed them all about when I were a nipper. Saw Radiohead support them in King Edwards no. 8 in Brum
15. I have a 1x15" Cab that I got in a trade from Shaggy years ago - it works but it's just taking up space and it's too monstrous for me to take out on gig. Take it off me hands!
16. All a bit passive aggressive isn't it? You've put enough detail in so anyone reading your post can work out who you're on about but decided to moan here rather than have a word with the basschatter directly or leave feedback - poor show!
17. A bit blurry as I only have my gopro to take pics at the moment - is this ok though?
18. That is very nice! Good luck with the sale.
19. I'm away at the moment but will take some when I get home tomorrow - you might have to pm me to remind me though!
20.
Warren - this makes me wonder why the regular bass player is unavailable. Is it possible you are considering sacrificing more than perhaps he is in order to make it? But the bottom line is only you know how important it is going to be for you to do it - what, if any, repercussions there are going to be if you do or don't say yes. From an outside perspective my thoughts are that if, by agreeing to dep, you are likely to get a lot more paid work with the band then you could see it as an investment. If not then I personally feel it is taking advantage of your good nature.
Yeah it p*sses me off when I'm offered regular dep work because their bassist can't be arsed to do the crappy gigs but always manages to be available for the functions/big festivals.
