1. What you want is a Daion Power X-B. Lined neck, really slim (and asymmetric) and active. Sadly, I think there's only one in the country and it's mine! Mwahaahaaa
2. All the time.
3. Based in Cardiff.
4. Nice gig with an amazing crowd last night EVERYONE in the place dancing by the end - love that sight! Decided for some reason to switch from my usual 5 string fretless to 4 string fretted at the last minute, sounded ok but the TC rig with the RS210 needs some help when it gets loud - internet visit to Mr Thomann required I think.
5. Thanks - still here waiting for a new player!
6. Sounds like you've tried diplomacy, get a new guitarist if he doesn't have the self-awareness to know when he sounds bad.
7. Just remove the 's' from the Https....
8. Anyone up for this bargain?
9.
Can I ask where you got that brilliant scratch plate from?
Don't they come with that scratchplate? It was on the bass when I got it.
10. Bump for massive price drop to £725!!!!
11. Bump for offers accepted...
12. Nice - do you know anything about it? Age/ factory it was made in etc?
13.
http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c5b0eb346 That looks a bit more like early Alembic neck throughs. Is it Matsumoku? It doesn't look it. I'm wondering if it's a bit more pizza than it is sushi.
Oh yeah I like this! Will be keeping an eye on this.
14. An excellent way to test potential partners at speed dating events too.
15. Preferably a straight sale but would consider cheaper fretless 5's
16. I was looking at this and thought oo I wonder if they do a fretless version... D'oh!
17. I'm in (and run) 3 main bands and dep for others. It just takes careful management. 1 of the bands is jazz/swing and we only play during the week, which helps.
18. Thanks Dad. Thanks erm, 'Uncle' Satrugar!
19. Ah OK what's the difference?
20. 1999 Stingray 5 in lovely pearlescent purple with mirrored pickguard. In good condition albeit with a couple of minor dings to the front. It's a Stingray and does the Stingray thing! Any Cardiff - based buyers are more than welcome to come try it out (well anyone is if you're prepared to travel!) NOW £725 for quick sale!!!
21. Do they do a fretless 5? Can't find it as of yet..
22. What new track did they play in Brighton? They played one called 'Shark Tank' in Bristol - heavy as funk!
23.
I got the feeling there was a musical appreciation of them, not wishing to do down audiences in Bristol or elsewhere, perhaps your answer is nearer the mark. Was it a Bristol Uni music dept night out?
Pretty much everyone who's studied Jazz in Cardiff in the last 10 years was there
24. Think there's still tickets left for Corey Henry in Bristol next month... Also - I met Michael League! Well, I shouted "Well done!" at his face from a short distance away anyway.
25. Nick - go for that pint first
