I never realised that El Daga was an anagram of Annoying Tosser Stuff you learn on here

It's taken me 3 Rics to get one that I think has the classic Chris Squire growl that for me is THE Ric sound (a mapleglo 1976 4001 don't you know), but for my normal gigs, I use a Fender Aerodyne Jazz, as it just sits better in the overall blend of sound. The Ricky is my Sunday best, occasional Open Mic night, bass, where it can bark and snap through a few choice songs. Just a shame no-one has ever called out - 'Does anyone know Roundabout? BTW - I did own a beautiful US Jazz for a couple of months, but traded it for the Ric, as I thought it was the blandest thing I'd ever heard and played

I have a MarkBass F1 for sale on here. Happy to post to Portugal. Light as a feather, but LOUD, LOUD, LOUD (500W @ 4ohm) http://basschat.co.uk/topic/213203-barefaced-big-one-andor-markbass-f1/page__p__2156714__hl__markbass%20f1__fromsearch__1#entry2156714

I know these are incredibly popular cabs, built in small batches, in Britain, by people who obviously put a lot of effort into them, but when you're paying virtually a thousand pounds for a cab, I don't think it's too much to be kept up-to-date with progress. As far as my correspondence with Alex was concerned, I was expecting a big box to be delivered into our Reception yesterday, and there was nothing from him to indicate otherwise Just sayin'

I ordered mine on 21st May. Got a message 2 weeks ago saying it was ready, and payment requested. I paid on 12th July and arranged with Alex for delivery yesterday as it was my first day back from holiday. No response to my payment and no response for my 'where is it' emails and phone calls. There's patience and there's 'where's my £980 cab' patience

With the imminent arrival of a BF S12T, I'm putting this awesome rig up for sale. I'd prefer to sell it as one, but will split if necessary. Both items were bought off BC'ers in Jan and Feb this year and have only been gigged a couple of times since then. What can I say about the sound except - MASSIVE!!!! Loads of bottom end, and enough power to punch through even the most over the top drummer and guitard. The Big One is in 9/10 condition, with just a few wear marks on the corner protectors. It comes with a brand new Roqsolid cover. The F1 has light scratches on the top and bottom, but is in full, LOUD, working order. No lead, as I need it for my new head. Best option would be to come and try it for yourself, but I can courier them if necessary. Have priced it out with Interparcel at £45 for the cab and £20 for the amp, fully insured (could probably get both amp and cab together for £45) . If you can do it cheaper and at your own risk, then feel free. I always use an insured service for items of value. £850 for the pair - not looking for trades - too much stuff already or £550 for the Big One and cover *On Hold Until 12/8/13* £400 for the F1 Borrowed this from the BF website via another old ad on here Massive bottom end, mid range punch, treble clarity and, for their weight, the loudest deepest bass cabs you can buy... Is that another fifteen? Why yes it is, a very very special one. And what's that other speaker in there? It's six and a half inches of punch, clarity, growl and sweetness. But it's just a big speaker and a little speaker, all inone box. I've seen cabs like that from other makers. The magic is inside the box - a full 2-way crossover, akin to that found in the very best studio monitors, which splits the sound between the two speakers, so each speaker can concentrate on doing what it does best. No other crossover found in a bass guitar cab has this complex topology, with very steep slopes so it is all but impossible to overpower the midrange driver, so that you get no interference between drivers either side of the crossover point, and so that you get the most accurate and realistic sound whether you're the bassist, a bandmate or a fan. Big One - our flagship model The massive port may give away that there is something different about this classic looking cab. So what is going on behind that silver cloth grill? Well it's a very very special fifteen plus a tiny giant of a six and a half inch midrange driver. Prepare for a tone, bottom and output revelation Featuring a extremely high excursion neo woofers in an oversized ported enclosures gives the Big One the ability to move more air and give you a fatter high SPL bass sound than most cabs twice their size (and how many more times its weight?!) Because this woofers is so good at going low it is not good at going high - the rest of your sound comes from an extremely high output 6.5" midrange speaker which gives you more tone and volume than you can believe possible from such a small speaker - it can cut through even the densest rock mix. Not only that but because this speaker is small it disperses your midrange much better than if it were coming from a larger woofer. Stand anywhere in the room and you will hear almost exactly the same tone - no other bass cab can achieve this! DIMENSIONS 29.5" high x 21" wide x 16" deep WEIGHT 41 lbs SENSITIVITY Similar to a quality 2x12" FREQUENCY RESPONSE Unusually flat response from the deep thick lows to the clear highs RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 200-1000W RMS MAXIMUM OUTPUT Similar to a high quality 6x10" or 2x15" NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 8 ohms

http://alaskapik.com/ are my picks of choice. If I'm playing something in a set that doesn't need a pick, I take it off and stick it on my little finger. Never gets lost (except when I leave them lying around on top of amps, tables, cupboards, desks, shelves........etc etc......)

We have 2 of these http://www.djsuperstore.co.uk/Equinox-Micro-Bar-System Very bright in the pubs we play. Easy to use. Sturdy stands. We bought the 2 tower pack that came with the carrying case, a 4 button footswitch to change sequences, and the lead to link both sets - cost £399 with a bit of shopping around. Gigged it solidly for past 18 months and still going strong with no issues at all

Instant payment, no hassles. Just as we like it - cheers Brian

Not the faintest idea, as I've never had an SA450. Someone else will need to answer that. All I know is that I've had a Little Mark II, which is a lovely amp, but the F1, IMHO, is just a bit 'sharper' in its sound. I'm starting up with a more mellow band now, so I want the warmth of a valve preamp, rather than punching thorough a 5 piece, with my old lot. This is a serious bit of kit if you want to knock a hole in your drummer :-)

Selling my MarkBass F1, which I bought on here in January, as I now have a GB Shuttle 9.0 - just another whiff of GAS that needed sniffing The F1 is basically the LMII with a class D power amp, which makes it even smaller and lighter. However, what isn't smaller and lighter is the power and sound. 500W @ 4ohm, about 380 at 8 - and with a crispness and clarity that accents every note. If you want to soften the sound, the filters will do that, but for pure punch, this thing has really got it. It is LOUD - VERY LOUD - OH MAN IS IT LOUD!!!! Perfect working order, with just a few very light scuffs on it.

Nice playing Ben. I think maybe we could do with hearing a bit more of you. Even if it's not an 'oooowwww look at meeeee' vid, you're playing bass, so let's hear the bass :-)
