1. Will it smart?
2. It's all crap. The £20 is a rip-off. The mods need therapy. No one has EVER given a decent answer to one of my questions. I hate you all ;-)
3. Bought by me and just been delivered to its new home in Cornwall
4. Bought a Hohner 'The Jack' off Neil. Easy, friendly, purchase and the guitar was very well wrapped and boxed. Deal with Neil with confidence Cheers mate
5. Playing bass is like having piles. Some days all is calm and you are happy with what you've got. The next day someone has poked an ant's nest up yer bum and the only thing to do is splash out on some new cream. Your cream day will soon arrive Enjoy
6. Sold a P bass to Alec. Friendly, easy, quick payment. No problems Cheers mate
7. Not my thing, but thanks for the offer. Really just looking for a nice straight sale at this price
8. Squier Precision Bass that has been Fenderised with a fake logo and a Fender neck plate. The pickup is a Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pounder, which turns this once humble bass into a beast capable of destroying small towns. This is NOT a nice lounge jazz bass. It is an animal Plenty of dents and dings on the body, but in a good real way, not like these (IMHO) crappy belt sander relic jobs. But the main beauty of this bass is the neck. Lovely aged flame maple, with a rosewood fingerboard. Plays effortlessly. Closed back tuners are a bit different, and it has 2 new volume and tone pots, so no snap crackle or pop. Has a hefty paper-in-oil tone capacitor fitted. The cavities are also copper foil lined to eliminate any mains or ground hum. The Schaller strap buttons have been removed and it has standard buttons on there now. Yours for £180 delivered to a UK mainland address, or £150 for a quick cash sale collected from Truro, Cornwall
9. You want La Bella 760FHBB strings which are sold as 'Beatle Bass' strings specifically for that bass. I'm waiting for a set to be delivered from these guys http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/LaBella_strings.html as they were the cheapest I found anywhere when searching last week
10. Had an LM II and an F1 at one point, for comparison. Sold the LM II. Still got the F1 I play in quite a loud band, with keys and guitar, and I found that the F1 had that bit of extra crispness to cut through. Play the 2 together in a quiet room, and you'll probably prefer the LM II, but on stage is a different matter. Horses, courses, etc PS - just noticed you're in Snozzle. We'll be playing at The Barley Sheaf in Gorran (nr Meva) this Saturday - come and hear it in action :-)
11. I stand corrected - thought it was the same on all
12. Thumbs up from me as well
13. Got a Line 6 G30 and never looked back. Receiver sits as the first link on my pedal board chain. Easy to see the battery life left in the transmitter. Brilliant on small stages where you don't need some hoof-footed guitarist treading all over your leads. The Line 6 units have a standard 1/4" jack socket on the transmitter, so you can change/upgrade your fly lead into the bass - I changed the original straight one for a right-angled one.
14. Several of us on here have played around with various valve permutations for the LB - there's a whole thread at http://basschat.co.uk/topic/185585-little-bastard-valve-advice/ Although I loved mine, in the end it just ran out of steam when competing with big drums, keys and guitar. I now use a MarkBass F1 to put my point across
15. Traded my Fender Jazz for Shaun's Ric 4001. He even sent it to me on approval!!!! Great guy, totally trustworthy, and a real pleasure to deal with Buy/sell with confidence
16. These guitars punch well above their weight - I love mine Here in action at the beginning and the end, though a Hartke 3500 combo
17. Bargain alert!!!! I paid £500 for one without the cover in Jan. Sold all my other cabs cos they all sounded like a wasp in a biscuit tin compared to this bad boy
18. There are a few guys on here selling valves if you search the Other Musically Related Items thread. Swapping and comparing brands is a perennial hobby for the keen valve amp owner Normally the valves sit in a ceramic holder and it's just a matter of gently 'wobbling' them as you pull them up out of the holder. Replace the new ones in the same way, once you've lined up the gap in the pins with the gap in the holder. No soldering or physics degrees normally required
19. Sold an amp to Quid. No problems at all. Don't know if he resolved the pedal issue above, but my sale was fine
20. Sold to the man from Bournemouth
21. Sold my MarkBass LM2 to Martin No hassles, quick payment, perfect buyer Cheers
22. I always wondered what happened to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
23. Thanks Shaun Left kidney currently up for sale on eBay if anyone needs a retube
