1.
Free Live - Andy Fraser at his best and one of the best albums of all time. Go and learn it note for note - now! You'll be a better player for it.
Got to agree that is a cracker. Generally not mad on live albums but I do still thoroughly enjoy and regularly play Humble Pie, Rockin' the Filmore.
2. They can be a bit stubborn but will some patience and gentle asssistance with a small screwdriver worked around the edge, you should be ok
3. Looking good. Nice job. Glad to see that you persevered with your project.
4. A weekend bump
5. and a weekend bump
6.
Never while playing. Have snapped one when changing strings at home by absent-mindedly turning tuner in wrong direction until string snapped! What a stupid git.
Same here and I felt such a twat, even though I was the only one to witness it.
7. Yes, I experienced the same thing, although can't recall if it was the same note, at a depp gig back in the summer, playing on a wooden band stand. it was a sscarey moment
8. I thought you two had only just been reunited, were deeply in love and would be together for the rest of eternity. Good luck with the sale, it's a lovely looker
9. I suspect that your diagnosis is correct, I'm sure that was the same problem I had with the jazz bass that I had a few years back. Rectified fairly easily, if you can solder or have a friend who can. Sorry don't know any guitar techs in your neck of the woods, but I'm sure someone will be along soon, who does.
10. Truly lovely looking vintage loveliness there Rick. I'm sure you won't have any problem selling that on. There is obviously not the same love for vintage amps/cabs as there is for instruments, seeing that your post has been here for well over twelve hours and I'm the first to post.
11. Get some pics up then........go on go on go on
12. So sorry Darren. Given the level of customer service that I received in my dealings with you and Chris and I know other Bass Chatters also received, your business deserves to survive and prosper.
13. Handsome beast, nice one Nick. Agree with you about the pick guard and agree with WOT about the case, they belong together. Hope you enjoy your time together.
14. A BC'er told me that he wanted this amp but has maybe decided against it and not let me know. If you are that man and reading this and still want it, then let me know and I will mark it as, On Hold. Meanwhile it is still available.
15. another bump to the top
16. Was going to put this on hold but the BC'er who said he wanted it, seems to have gone AWOL so I'm bumping it back up.
17. That looks like a beaut Gareth, good price too I think. Lovely
18. Welcome, hope you enjoy the site.
19.
Well I suppose you could buy one what I meant is a LONG straight edge, like a 24"/2'/60cm steel rule to lay along the top of the frets
Sorry John, thought we were talking about using a short straight edge for rocking to and fro, spanning three frets.
20.
Probably a reference to the ~ shape caused by the truss rod, so the last few frets 'kick' up a bit. Have you got a 2' steel rule or similar straight edge to lay along the frets & check?
If you don't have a short steel rule, at a push a credit/debit card isn't a bad substitute
21. A couple of Bass Chatters have pointed out to me that the going price should be £170-£180 for one these and I agree, infact I think I've already said that in an earlier post. But this has mods as detailed in the OP. I'm not trying to recoup the whole cost of the mods, just a reasonable percentage.
22. Tim for another bump
23. Hi Clive. My daughter is selling an Orange 50watt combo that can be used with an extension cab. it's in the sale forum.
24.
are your cabs the traveller or standard series thanks
My cabs are the standard series.
25. Don't think you'll be needing my help then How good is that? The man who played it originally offering to help you, got to love Bass Chat. If he gets it wrong let me know and I'll do the corrections. Welcome to the forum Stu.
