  1. Shane Wesley is touring bassist now, and doing a great job too.
  2. Yeah, Subhumans, Culture Shock and Citizen Fish all on the go as and when, it was Culture Shock Saturday, they're doing a short tour Oct/Nov with Radical Dance Faction.
  3. 😆 I'd call it a classic but it might offend some people, I was talking to Richard Lucas last Saturday, and he was saying it's great to see the youngsters coming to see them now, the kids of the kids that were into us originally as he put it. ( the auto censor has changed his name lol )
  4. Sky High by Culture Shock, Off to Cornwall tomorrow to see them so hoping it'll be in the set list.
  5. I don't think they do, at the moment, maybe that'll come in the future as there must be a demand for it.
  6. Quality wise, I think the hardware is slightly cheaper, different pickups, no blocks and binding on the neck. Other than that fit and finish wise it's as good as (and better than some) anything I've seen costing 3 times as much.
  7. I used a V7 5 to record our last CD so I thought I'd take a punt on one of these. Hard to fault at the price I think.
  8. The new, and final, 2 Sick Monkeys album, proper drum and bass 🙂

  10. Same as everyone else is saying if it sounds ok and isn't de-laminating why worry. After all don't many cab manufacturers go to great lengths to highlight the quality of the plywood/laminated wood they use, always stressing how void free/dense/better than everyone else's their laminate is? If it's not broke...

    MATAMP

I used to have a 6x10 but at the time I thought I'd never have the GT200 to go with it so I sold it. Now I've got the GT200 I wish I'd kept it, but there you go.. It was very well made, heavy, but not ridiculously so and rated for 2400w at 8ohms, I never saw the speakers move once, not even the tiniest tremble.
  12. Like Lozz says, the best you'll get.
  13. They are very grippy, which I like, their other designs also seem to offer equally grippy features so I may stick with them.
  14. These arrived today from Denmark, almost too pretty to use.
  15. Here's mine still going strong. 🙂
  16. Bit of Orange Goblin. https://youtu.be/E5Vzr-REcSs
  17. Bit of Culture Shock. https://youtu.be/Qfe-9CGIALo
  18. Go and see them, they get about quite a bit up and down the country, I love watching them and also watching the bass snobs in the audience when Pete cranks up, great fun watching people who've never seen them laughing at the little guy with the squier bass almost as big as he is, then watching their jaws drop as he shows them it's not what you've got it's what you can do with it 😂.
  19. 2 Sick Monkeys, proper drum and bass 😊. Sadly it will probably be for the last time as they are calling it a day at the end of this year. https://youtu.be/-O-h86lFtWs
  20. I would think the reason behind Thomann's pricing is likely to be that Quilter have, or are in, the process of shifting amp production to China, they posted about it last week on their FB page, it's to ensure the long term survival of the company as they are sharing qsc's facility at the moment, they also stated that quality will remain as is and not be affected in any way. Whatever, the Bass Block is a monster of an amp, it doesn't want for anything compared to any of my other amps, if we're travelling any distance to a gig or going in a car it's usually what I take, it sounds immense through the Four10 or the Dubster.
