11. I have a 15" 400w Fane Collossus in an old Carlsbro ported cab, I use it with an Orange sp212 & it really moves air, it'll make your ankles cold standing in front of it. :-)
12. Our singer 'sings' for Lifer (and vice versa), hold on tight....
13. Exit Kilo, Enter Mark Bass,
14. I took delivery of a Tube 800 a couple of weeks ago to replace my terminally ill Kilo, tried it out through both my cab set ups now @ 4ohms through an Orange SP212 & an old Carlsbro cab that I had Fane Collosus 15" 400w put in, it was pretty loud through that I can assure you and no problem getting a suitable sound. Tried it this week through my Matamp 6x10 @ 8ohm and was again very pleased with the sound, to my ear it sounded nicer through the Matamp than my OTB 500.
15. I bought one of these, http://www.maplin.co.uk/high-impact-case-large-228650 last week for my new Markbass head to live in, it's basically a clone of a Peli case but at a quarter of the price, it has all the protection you could ask for at the price, pick n pluck foam interior so you can custom fit it to whatever will fit inside it.
16. Yes it's a tidy little rig, nice compact size, punchy sound, and just stood idle...
17. Well mine looks like the one in the Samson site pic.
18. It better not be lol! Cheapest I've seen it was £666 when I got mine from DV247.
19. Thanks for the replies guys, i'll have a play & see if there's something i prefer, it's all about the rumble with us so the upper end of the spectrum doesn't really come into it .
20. Just curious I suppose, I read about the improvement in tone someone got by sticking a Gold Lion in their Hartke LH and was wondering if the Kilo would respond to a little valve swapping, I know the LH series only the one 12AX7 whereas I have 3 in the Kilo, which of the 3 would have the most influence if any on the amps sound? I'm happy with the amp it sounds fine and has more tones than I'll ever use, but as I say I'm just curious as to the effect a different valve/valves may have.
21. Anyone played around with different valves than the standard actory fitted ones? I read the Terror Bass valve swap thread and wondered if the Kilo would respond to a bit of swapping in a similar way, as i've not done this before and as there are 3 12ax7 tubes in it, which tube/tubes would respond best to swapping? Any and all ideas welcome.
