1. Very busy picture, this may dictate the tone. I have a seed of an idea.
 2. Brightened up my day. Well done.
 3.
To be fair, you chose a photo that generated lots of inspiration in the entrants.
Very diplomatic.
 4. Well done to you both. A well deserved joint win.
 5. I've got a vote. There is a God...... Not that I'm saying God voted for my song but I think you know what I mean. Now if he'd only get the Son and the Holy Spirit to vote as well if have three votes.......
 6.
Could prove to be a dangerous association... ... ... but thanks all the same.
I'll take my chances.
 7.

I'm your witness.
 8. its a shame that some months the voting numbers are so low.... I'm not sure how to address this, I guess people aren't interested are too busy or simply find it a chore to wade through the entries. The challenge itself is pretty obviously displayed in general discussion so there isn't a lot more to be done. I wonder how difficult it would be to send all members a blanket PM reminding them to have a listen and vote??? I'm not sure what the implications of that would be, perhaps it would cause some technical repercussions, Im not sure. It would be great to expose the talent here to as wide an audience as possible, maybe bluejay could give the winner a mention in her article at bass magazine each month. Maybe things are fine the way they are, any thoughts?????
 9. There's a topic on here called 'recommended luthiers'. Daves contact details are in there.
 10. I seem to remember Dave offering his services to someone on here recently in either off topic or general discussion. It may have been bubinga I'm not sure but if you search back a little there should be contact details on that post.
 11. It's fairly bad to be fair. But Sam is givin it a good go. Play it one more time. Sam??????? Are you listening? I said 'play it again '........"play it again …............,,,,.?

 13.
Yippee..! I'm not last; in fact I'm tied equal first..! ... ... ... Oh, hang on a minute...
We are still voting for 3, I take it??? My maths isn't great but somethings not adding up.
 14.
That's poetry. . . . . .
Blew me away. I was trying to think of stuff that was cool or stuff I carried with me over the years but when it all boiled down I was left with mr Berry. Also there were a string of Levi's adds in the 80s - 90s that had some great tracks too and each of those really got me as well but I think Jonny b Goode was the first that really caught me off guard.
 15. Had another listen today and there are some fine entries this month, one in particular hit the spot for me.....possibly two, but fine entries all round regardless. ahem..... voting thread???
 16. not the first time round but i think it was the early 80s when I heard this and it blew me away..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFo8-JqzSCM
 17.
Dave Grohl
agreed.......
 18.
Yup, it's the same bass. Bought for £130 on 9th September from a guy in SE London, and re-listed within a fortnight with a description including I bought this out of curiosity some time ago with a view to doing a full restore but had nagging doubts that I would be destroying the history of what could easily be a very early Precision Bass ... It was actually turned up in a farm sale where it had been in a loft for decades and looking a good deal worse than it looks now with an awful setup So basically he's a liar and a conman.
I can't believe someone paid £130 for it to be honest.
 19. It's had a full set up..... Lol. Imagine walking into any credible guitar tech and asking him to set it up. Some serious lip biting going on.
 20.
John Lennon. His filter wore increasingly thin as time passed. Either that or Yoko Ono was wearing it down.
Perhaps. I think some of his finest work came in his solo years. A lot of it self indulgent and introspective but he didn't care he had money in the bank and plenty of time (or so he thought). Poor fella. A definite waste.
 21.
Tom Waits
Not sure I want to agree but I do know where you are coming from. Many of the "artists" that have been mentioned are exactly that, artists. They are knocking out music purely as an expression form and are not intending it to be popular or widely accepted. It must be a great position to be in. I envy their balls and bet my own balls that they don't give a shight about what any of us think. In the case of Tom Waits, if you look at songs like ol 55 for example. It's a perfect song arranged beautifully with amazing melody etc etc.... There's only so many of them you can write before it starts to lose its kick or edge and you begin to search for something different or some other channel of expression. I take my hat off to them, I may not like the music but I doubt very much if it's about taste or the lack of. I bet if you asked Tom waits to knock you up a few songs that people would relate to and would be widely accepted. Mellifluous songs with regular form, he'd do it standing on his head if he could be arsed.
