  1. Had some SD Quarter Pounders put on my MIM 50's P, terrific, like a new instrument. What's the Gotoh bridge do to the sound?
  2. Limited EUB experience, but my East Coast Stagg clone sounds great through my Markbass CMD 121P with all eq set at neutral and the bass down on the EUB itself. Have loved playing mine for the past 18 months or so, hope you do too!

    SOLD

    Still for sale?
  4. Got an MIM jazz plus money your way?
  5. MIM Jazz?
  6. Absolutely brilliant basses these. Have a bump on me!
  7. Pah, hit 50 last year, drummer's 56, singer 47 we're all baldies, guitarist 41 with hair. Don't let 'em get you down, plenty of work for us old rockers!
  8. Difficult, I picked up a Cort B4 this summer via a series of deals and it's an awesome bass very under rated (and cheap) also picked up a second hand MIM Jazz this weekend for £299 which so far (2 rehearsals only) seems great too! Guess it's really what rocks your boat!
  9. Very very interested, does the case come too?

    Cort GB94

Got a B4 Artisan in the summer, brilliant bass no complaints at all, used it for all gigs and practices since I got it. If the GB94 is in the same class then I'd go for it. Actually fancy one myself.
  11. Looks terrific, where are you?
  12. Would be keen, could I see a pic?
  13. Can't comment on the Ibanez but have the Cort which I ended up with in a deal, I wasn't really keen till I'd tried it (it's a long story) but been really happy with it over the past 2 months, good range of tones, nice and light and plays superbly - what more could I want!
  14. Gratuitous pre-weekend self bump - also price drop to £200 I guess.
  15. Very speculative PM!!
  16. For sale - Yamaha BB415 only had it a few months from new. 35 years of playing 4 strings and I just can't get used to that extra string! Lovely bass, very well made etc. A1 nick, small scratch on underside of the body (see pix). Would consider a trade for anything with 4 strings (not a Precision as that's my main bass). £250
  17. Very interested - any pics if possible, also how can it get darn sarf!
  18. Would also consider a straight sale. Kev
  19. I'd agree, just bought a Yamaha BB 415 yesterday, which though it's a 5 string, with the bridge pup off has a really authentic P-bass sound (I've also got a MIM 50's Classic Precision). Excellent sound.
  20. Would you be able to post? Also - any further info as I've never heard of Carlton. Ta, Kev
  21. Ditto from me as I would be quite interested in buying it to try a 5 string.
  22. Looks a great bass, 2 questions: 1. How would it be as a first 5 string? 2. Could it be posted? Ta.
  23. My twopenn'orth (if anyones interested!) played trombone as a kid, bought a bass guitar (well my mum did) at 15 so I could get some gigs (none on the 'bone at the time) been playing BG ever since (35 years) still gigging, never really got any better, still loving it tho'. Tried out an East Coast (Stagg clone) EUB after Christmas, fell in love, bought it and now use it regularly with the church band I play in, also sounds great with Stray Cat Strut and some of the old rockers we do in my main covers band. Sounds strange, but.......I kind of feel a more physical connection with the EUB than the BG, so basically, I'm very happy, trouble is, as the rest of the band like it too, I need to take both with me on gigs!!!
