Leading with the left hand on a right handed kit means that you can't follow onto the next drum. I know that 'cause my drummer told me, about the only intelligent thing he's ever said though.

I've used the inuke power amps. They work, do the job well and weigh next to nothing. Just as good as the Peavey IPR amps IMO. Watch the supposed power rating though. Oh, and the inukes don't light up the stage like the Peaveys.

I like it, but I'd like it even more if it was left handed.

I enjoy basschat, it's like a magazine only free. Considering how much I pay for my subscription to BGM it's terrific value for money and you can't get any better than free. I couldn't buy a years worth of our local paper for £20 and that's not even worth reading. £20 to sell a few bass type things and keep a great site going, I call that a real bargain and even if I don't sell anything, it's still a bargain.

The latest Musicians Union mag had a front page spread about instruments on planes and implying that they'd won, unfortunately I haven't read it yet but a quick trip to the MU web site may have the answer you seek.

I tried that with a Custom Sound 30w combo, not live, just in the kitchen and it was quite impressive, probably the best I've got it sounding, but didn't want the hassle of taking another amp with me. May still try it live though just to see, or should that be hear.

It does sound totally different in a loud, live situation and with other instruments competing. I'm going to try a Behringer HD300 next gig as I found that the previous distortion sounded a bit bee in a jam jar. During the sound check at the last gig, one of our fans came up and said that they really liked the Fission, the first time that they've commented on anything without being asked.

I'm one of the lots of others and I agree. Brilliant, you can't go wrong.

Just bought a L/H Overwater Classic J, the Tanglewood one. I've got to wait a few days before it arrives, but when it does, I'll post my impressions.

Just started using one and love it. Don't expect the octave up to sound very good without distortion though and the built in distortion leaves a bit to be desired with an after ring to it. I use the effect out through a distortion unit and then bring the two signals back together through my amp and it sounds amazing. Taking the octave out to a separate amp also sound great but you still need a lot of distortion. If you want to make your bass sound like an 8 string, that it doesn't do, but it makes riffs sound killer.

I've gone back to single pedals. You get the sounds that you want instead of a load of effects which in my opinion don't really sound that good.

The sound samples sound a bit rubbish even if you only want it to mod. I picked up a L/H one of these recently, http://www.bass-guitar-museum.com/bass-8287-Samick-4-String-Electric-Bass-Guitar-with-Softcase and am seriously impressed. I even used it as my main bass at the last gig. Might be worth looking for a used one.

The first time I picked up a guitar I naturally held it left handed and I naturally picked out bass lines and started playing them, so bass it was for me. Tried right handed briefly but couldn't do it so stayed left handed. I do most things left handed. But only yesterday, I scanned the www for available L/H basses and if you're not after a bottom of the range model or want something that doesn't look like a Fender you're stuffed, as usual.

I've mounted both my guitar receiver and mic receiver on my 3 tier pedal board and have no problems at all. Mic on bottom tier, Line 6 XD-V70HS, for the antenna height and the G30 on the top tier. Makes setting up seriously easy.

He's right. £40 is what I paid for one last year.

The one on the right looks like a Kelly 50w valve head. Similar to a Selmer T & B 50.

Some of the glue joints haven't broken down have they? Might be worth checking that all the edges and corners are still solid.
