1. not many more details. It's a bog standard P looking bass in a custom colour. through body stringing made in the early 2000's.
2. Update! I've bought a Fender 2001 Precision Bass in Sea Foam Green in good condition. It was a decent deal I think. Now for the negatives - Filthy rosewood board, Frets need a good clean and have some very minor wear, Sratchy tone pot Badly in need of a set up and new strings. Here's what it looks like under the hood, a messy bit of earthing, are they all like that ? Now having trusted all my other bass's to the local luthier I might do this one myself... **************************************************************************************************** Anyone know anything about them ? I've been offered a P bass in good nick and was just wondering over the quality, pickups and anything else I need to know really. Is it an S1? Whatever that is, not sure if it's good or bad! Also what the value is? I've been told it's in good condition but with a non fender hardcase.

4. I have a similar Jazz Bass Special. They are great basses and with Roto 66 strings on give a proper ROCK sound

6. Pint of shandy in each set, and I don't mess with my amp after sound check. I might step on a few pedals though
7. Oohh tempting The one I played on Denmark street was a weighty thing. How much does this one weigh ?
8.
Absolutely incredible basses - I got one a couple of weeks back (fiesta red) and am super happy with it! GLWTS mate
You got a couple a couple of weeks back you greedy b£$%^&* Great basses I have one the same as the one for sale, really resonant. I fancy another!
9. Ooh a Sansamp BDDI sounds like a good idea. Or a bass dragger for the Adam Yauch sound! Anyone know prices or sources ?
10.
Effects pedal?
I think I'm selling my Zoom B3 and going back to separates soooo.....what's cheep to pick up over there ?
11. Duff plays one so I wan't one...not a great deal of help I know
12. The Doris is off to the states (Austin, TX) in 2 weeks time so I have the opportunity to get some stuff from over there. Probably not a bass - I have asked but she wont do it (selfish b***h) but smaller things that aren't worth the shipping costs to the UK. So far - 3 Sub Pop tshirts What else should I get - I looked at another Mono strap but they are the same price over here. Pedeltrain ? Lucky Charms?
13. Stunning! I want..I didn't realise they had other colours now
14. Are the 62 RI-VPS nitro ?

16. Still hunting for a Nate Mendel P if anyone has seen one in the wild. I'm hoping sticking flats on it will kill some of the all out ROCK sound

Fender MIM

Road Worn Jazz - Totally stunning
18.
Haha! Have you tried the compressors on it?
No, I should spend a bit of time with it but with two kids the only chance i get to play is in rehearsals once a week
19.
In that case, I don't think a compressor is going to be interesting enough to solve your pedal GAS. If there's money burning a hole in your pocket, grab one of the zoom multi effects units, have hours of fun figuring out what effects you like, then you can lust after all the individual "stomp boxes" which also do this effect.
I have a zoom B3. I just have 3 dirt pedals on it all the time
20.
If you have a bit of grit then that would already be taming any peaks, except with distortion instead of compression What's the problem you're trying to solve?
I think the underlying issue is peddle GAS with a paranoia around crap bass sound in the mix (Jazz with flats)
