Klon KTR

You should get a proper Klon..and a '59 burst to go with it. The GAS won't stop until you do
3.
I had to put quite a bit of tension into my trussrod over a couple of days to get it right bit no other set up issues. 1.25 mm seems an extremely low action. At what fret was that measured?
Yeah, I have 2.5mm on the E at the 12th. 1.25mm sounds like it would be buzzy with my cack handed technique
4. On a P, take it out, they go for abut £50 on the bay
5. I always go all neck no bridge when using a Jazz, with my Flea I dialled in 75% bridge and it gave it a bit more bite
6. I wan't all three of these basses...the GAS never stops does it. GLWTS
7.
fad noun an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, especially one that is short-lived; a craze. "some regard green politics as no more than the latest fad"
I can see what you're saying but for me it's not. I was in the market for an AVRI stacker and was even contemplating buying another RW Jazz and refinishing in a custom colour, this was just what i was looking for
8. mines great now, the control plate probably needs packing and rescrewing but it's no biggie, the finish is wearing on the neck already but that's a good thing
9.
mmmm - I'd expect to see a 'tan line' in the paintwork. Less faded under the pickguard.
It's all painted that colour rather than painted shell pink and UV bombed. To be expected on a £900 bass
10. I almost always use my Roadworn because - + It says Fender on the headstock and that's all anyone in the band cares about + It plays really well which is all I care about + It sounds as good as any £5+ boutique bass when it's "in the mix" in a noisey pub + I don't care if it gets a knock as it's RW + It's MIM so easily replaced if it does walk What's not to like
11.
Fender's website still has it listed at £919... on a separate note, the finish on the back of the neck on mine started coming of, like exposing the raw wood Honestly still not happy about this sticky nitro business
The finish on my old RW is starting to wear, I hope the flea will do the same
12. I enjoyed playing mine on Saturday, two hour gig so pleanty of time to get to know it and it was great. Time will tell if it take over the number one spot from my other RW.
13. Gigging mine tonight. It's the first time in 3 years that I've used round wounds live so I'll be taking along a flat wound loaded spare just in case
14. The screws in my control plate were/are like the poster above less than secure, I was going to pack them with a match stick, I might do that next time it's on the bench. Also what are everyones thoughts on the strings, I don't think they sound as balanced as the Fender flats I'm used to. I have a bit of volume increase on the E, over both pickups so I assume this is a string issue ? It's not an issue. It was the second time at band rehersal with the bass and first time after a setup tweek, sounded and played really nice last night though the new nitro got a bit sticky in the heat and humidity.
15. relief improved, string height tweeted on the E, intonation done. I now have a very annoying buzz from the bridge spring on the G, a midge oo short by the look of it, anyone had this ?
16. I played a 63 AVRI and it was stunning, you 63 + Ampeg setup is giving me gas!
17.
Oiled mine. Lovely figured board. The wood that's visible on the worn bits of body looks quite highly figured too.
I'm going to lemon mine tonight before giving the setup a tweek
18. Has anyone oiled the board yet? Mine looks a little anemic

20. I have a 2001 US P and it's a lovely thing GLWTS. Mine is missing it's case so if anyone has one that needs a good home let me know
21.
Does it have the 'hump'?
I've not noticed, my 2009 RW does
22.
Kind of my year of birth bass!
You were kinda born in 2016?! Kids these days eh, they are all so natural using IT.
23. Average gig bag, case candy is just a fistful of fender leaflets, nothing sexy!
