1. While eating a bag of jelly babies at the doctors a few weeks ago, the doctor came over and said to me "Are you constipated? I just though you should know that Jelly Babies are one of the biggest causes of constipation we see" True story! WFT! I'm not touching those bad boys again
2.
Wimp! ;-)
You're right. I'm going to dock myself man points *hangs head in shame*
3. I'd swap it for amazon vouchers
4. I've been using Fender flats on my Jazz for six months now. Just picked up a CV P with roundwounds on and it's like playing with barbed wire strings Going to use them until they die and then slap some Status Flats on. Flats are like a comfy pair of slippers!
5. Good call. Spending money get's me earache of the missus. Recycling gets me in her good books
6. Sorry for the Hijack. I have this set up but with just the one cab and it's great. Love it. How much extra volume does the second cab give ?
7.
Going to hold on for now and try pick up an Hiscox when one pops up. Currently only taking one bass out at a time so not an issue so far as I can just swap in and out of my current gig bag.

Cheers for the advice, lots of great case suggestions
8. Just got a new Squier CV P but it came without a case or bag. I'd love a nice Fender Hard case but at over half the price of the Squier it's a bit over kill. Anyone use anything decent for reasonable money?
9.
Best ever for a P-bass IMO IME etc.etc. GHS PrecisionFlats, can be got stateside for reasonable money - close second & excellent VFM are Status Hot Wires, about £20 delivered, they feel good, sound good & suit a P superbly. IMPO TI Jazz Flats are great on a Jazz & possibly my favourite strings in the world, but for me they don't suit a P, that's a personal thing I know
Going to try the Status on my P. What length for a bridge loading P ?
10. I have a st of the LaBellas with minimal use is anyone wants to try them. Swapsies for a set of metal flats (as in stainless not Slayer)
11. But you can't by a new one and play it for 40 years to get the relic look because of the horrible (IMHO) poly finishes. You only have a small amount of choice for nitro finished Fenders and the Road Worns are some of the more reasonable ones. Do me a nitro jazz in 60's custom colour with matching headstock (and stack knobs would be nice) for £600 s/h and I'd be all over it.
12.
Hi guys, I'm looking to swap out the Wizard 64s in my Jazz bass, they just aren't cutting it for me, so much quieter than my Precision (fair enough) and US Jazz Standard (not so fair enough). Am looking for high-ish output and a nice fat tone (split coils??) Suggestions. I'm staying passive btw Cheers Si
I'd love to recycle you Wizards in my Squier if theyr'e not in the bin yet ?
13.
Given that flats last forever, you may need to re-calibrate concepts like "expensive".
I'm a tight northern monkey, anything costing over a fiver is expensive in my book. We still have t'bread and t'dripping for tea up 'ear
14. TI's are great but expensive. For £20 I like the Fender Flats on my Jazz and will be putting them on my new P this weekend.
15. I have a little used set of Labells Black Nylon flats for trade if anyone wants to try them.
16. Where in Leeds are they ? Might need to pay a visit
17. I'm too tight to chnage strings. I now have a dilemma as just got a new P bass that has come with decent rounds on. After converting to flats 6 months ago the rounds feel horrible. Do I change then and bin a perfectly good set of Elites ? Anyone want to trade some flats for some rounds ??
18. The original Duff McKagan. Nice bass GLWS
19. Price drop bump. Will swap for a set of flats, pup's for a P or J, or a hard case
20. I have a Mi12 and it's 8ohm I like it. Neat little cab
21. Bugger, stick me next in the queue if this falls through. And please can everyone list there Road Worns AFTER pay day next time !!
22. Please stop, you're giving me guitar GAS. J Mascis Sig would be lovely
23. I'm still bitter about the Dutchess in Leeds being the Hugo Boss shop, I (miss)spent my youth in there. Two reasons to hate Hugo Boss, Nazi uniforms and they took my pub!
