1. I think it's standard guitar tuning: EADGBE But really up to the user i suppose....
2. Love my ric, but I've had to adapt my style to it. Which has been a good thing because I hadn't been playing bass for long before I got it (played guitar before). So now the way I play and the way my band sounds is directly tied into that one instrument and it works really well. I play very mid sounding, lots of chords, and predominantly on the A and D strings. I don't feel limited, but I have what I consider to be my own sound and style now. Matamp head helps too. But i wouldn't recommend a ric to another player. Well maybe I would, but I'd definitely tell them what they're getting themselves in for.
3. my bad! I've been wanting to add a 2nd compact to my rig for a while...
4. who's the lucky ***** that got this?
5. £272? hubba hubba. I think I might keep an eye out...
6. are there issues with the tremolo moving around otherwise?

11. It's become something of a holy grail for me in the past few years. Anyone got one / played one / used to have one per chance? They come up pretty regularly in the states...
12.
I toy with investment instruments from time to time but generally stick to quick flips. Buy too cheap and sell at normal price.
I'm with you on this one - a quick ROI of 20-30% is better than any bank can give you.

14. Yeah that's exactly what I want to see. Not wanting to single people out, but I'm going to totally single people out: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/205192-customised-fender-1996-50th-anniversary-us-deluxe-jazz-5-string/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/208792-fsft-lakland-55-02-skyline-sunburst/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/208885-fs-mtd-635-21-153/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/119645-further-price-drop-fender-196061-precision-refin-but-stock/ I have little to no imagination, is what I'm saying. Which is clearly your problem not mine.
15. First and foremost, I just want to see the shape of the bass, man. Front on. THEN show me some dings, and whatever, don't make me click through 25 photos of the front and back of the headstock and a closeup of the bridge and some of the fretwear before I ACTUALLY SEE WHAT THE THING LOOKS LIKE FRONT ON. I've reported all your posts for not being in agreement with me, and you can expect to hear from my lawyers. Please provide your real names and addresses for the court summons. Will consider PX for a mid 90s MIJ Jazz with a matching headstock. Time wasters welcome.
16. A picture like this shows me what your bass looks like: I've had enough of the 'sassy' bedroom shots from all angles. Just show me the whole damn thing front on please. Ahem.
