1. not regretted buying mine for one second - good price here too!
2.
Cool. But why not do the back of the headstock and neck too while you're at it?
Sure why not. Works for my fireglo 4003.
3. are really, really doing it for me right now

mid heavy 8x10

Running a ric 4003 through a matamp GT200. I did play through a classic ampeg 810 recently and found it a bit boomy but the engineer said it was the room.
5. Hi All, I'm considering an 8x10 but a bit worried that it might have too much low end for what I'm after - anyone got experience with an 8x10 that's big in the midrange and has less of the ultra lows? Ta.
6. Identical to mine, thumbs up. Someone treat yourself.
7. what year did fender start doing black finishes? was it '73?
8. Any hint on a cost? Edit just saw: £601 on Guitar Village. I'm into it, want one.
9.
Basses had no frets from about 1500 AD until the 1950s now everyone wants them!
And while we're at it, what's the deal with pickups?
10. Never played one, why did/do YOU play a fretless? Fingers or pick?
11. in: '05 Ric 4001 '65 Mosrite Ventures Matamp GT200 Matamp Clubman II Ampeg 410HLF Barefaced Compact out: Westone Thunder 1A good year
12. Glanced at a late 60s eb-2 with different fret/neck inlays today - they seemed to be floral, almost similar to gibson banjo inlay designs. Anyone got info on Gibsons from around this era with different inlays to the usual dots?
13. I have a Thunder 1A and I'm willing to bet that Thunder III would DESTROY prettymuch any other sub-£1000 bass on this forum.
14. SO as an update (I know you've all been on the edge of your seats). I opened it up last night and wailed on it for a bit until it did the feedback, then started with the tapping. Preamp valves - went through all of them, no noticable sounds from the amp. So I set about on the power amp valves - got to the 2nd one and gave it a tap - all of a sudden the ringing stopped. Hm, that's interesting I DID THINK TO MYSELF. Maybe the poweramp tube was a bit loose and I tapped it back into place? Seems weird but I don't have much more of an explanation. Put volume and master on 10 and wailed like killmeister for a couple of minutes, threw the fuzz into the mix as well. Then I STFU'd and there was no feedbacking. Success? maybe so
15. the HLF is also very deep, but I love mine. might upgrade to a matamp 4x10 next year.
16. My Blazer just wants to sit around and get high all the time
17. The scale is 33 1/4", so a fair bit shorter than my 4003 (36 1/4), but longer than say an eb-0 or a Mustang, which I think are around 30". The skinny nut width and miniscule frets definitely make it feel smaller. The tone on this thing is so damn cool.
18. what was the price tag on that one?
