I’m after recommendations for multi effects pedals that can be controlled over midi. Specifically from the BandHelper app on an Android tablet. The Zoom B1 four looks good, mentions USB midi, but can’t see any mention of it in the manuals.

Wireless system - any 100% reliable long term reports?
nightsun replied to a topic in Accessories and Misc
Been using a line 6 G10 II for many years. Th only issue is if I forget to charge it. -
A little update: Played a couple of gigs now and found the jack socket doesn't like my wireless bug. Not sure if the barrel is slightly narrower than a standard jack, but too much E and jigging about loosens it enough to mute the bug. May need a fly lead and pop the bug in a pocket. Although a 34" scale, much of that is in the body so the neck felt a little cramped. Lengthened my strap and now it's 'roomy' The fret markers are pretty useless in the dark (dark dots on a dark neck), glow-in-the-dark clear nail varnish is your friend. Sound great with the factory pups and some EQ adjustments, throaty and punchy, cuts through nicely.

Trace Elliott ELF vs TC Electronic BAM200 opinions?
nightsun replied to Dennis1971's topic in Amps and Cabs
I went to see Richard Strange last week and Paul Cuddeford was using an Elf through a Bareface cab. OK, he had PA support but I was amazed and very impressed with how good it sounded. I may pick one up SH just to have a play with, handy to keep in the car as a spare. -

The monthly blues jam last night. Not many jammers this month but a very appreciative audience...no other bassists, so the fingers are a bit achy today.

A no name precision that was gifted to me, must have been made out of solid marble is was so heavy. leant it to someone to learn on and I never saw it again..for shame. Amp was an old Selmer PA rig, god knows how I didn't blow it up. I was 14 and on a budget.

Rather fun gig with my new project on Saturday evening, culminating in this rather strange conversation... Punter: Are you in a band Me: I'm in about 3 at the last count P: No, are you in this band? M: yes P: I'm a musician M: oh, what do you play...? P: guitar, bass and sing M: oh that's nice... A pause... P: you play a Jazz....yuk... Now what is the etiquette in this situation? Edit: The punter was sober.....and I just drifted into the night

They are damn good amps...until they go pop 😞 I'd give the Ashdown RM500 a look now if I was replacing, I've heard good things.

Not to fosters on your cornflakes but I had a RH450 which just died one night at a gig. The only way to get it fixed was to send it away to the approved repairer at cost so didn't bother.. I ended up getting a BH8000.
