For sale, in superb condition, are my Seymour Duncan SSB-5 NYC Dual Coil 5 String bridge and neck soapbar style passive humbucker pickups, SSB-5NYC-B (bridge) and SSB-5NYC-N (neck). The 4 wire pickups can be wired in several different configurations either permanently or switchable with a 3 way DPDT switch to give parallel / single coil / series options. The switch allows 3 different voicings from Vintage J Bass, Noiseless single coil to maximum output and full sound. The Basslines logo is the only sign of slight use. New versions of the pickups (post 2022) are now printed with “Seymour Duncan” as the logo. Name change info. I have attached files giving the pickup dimensions and the wiring options available. For sale (or trade) is my Overwater Progress III Deluxe bass including case. It is 23 years old but in superb condition and I am only the second owner. A while after I bought it I realised I wasn’t quite getting the sound I expected from an Overwater. After after consulting Chris May at Overwater I decided to upgrade the preamp and pickups for the current versions. It also transpired that when checked, one of the original pickups wasn’t working properly. The bass is now very versatile, balances well and easy to play. Why sell? Well, the merry-go-round of gear continues and I’ve decided I need to apply the rule as one comes in, another goes out. This sale includes the original Cornell preamp but not the pickups. There are some very small marks from use but easily missed and hard to photograph. The only real cosmetic issue is on the back edge of the bridge where the black coating is flaking in a couple of places, see the photos. On the back of the bass there is a laptop screen protector! I kid you not. I have used this on a number of my basses which reduces the chance of buckle rash. Peels off easy and doesn’t leave marks or residue. For sale (or trade) is my Bergantino Forte D amp in superb condition including Gator case. I bought it from Bass Direct at the end of June ’23 for £899. According to Mark, the previous owner only owned it for 3 months from new! This makes it approx. 20 months old….a mere baby. These are now £1,199 new (Bass Direct) so I think it makes mine look quite a bargain! Great amp, with a great reputation, powerful, articulate, open sounding. Mainly home use and only gigged it half a dozen times. I’ve used it with both my Berg and Vanderkley cabs and never had to have the volume above “11 o’clock”. It is LOUD, clear and punchy! Why sell?
