I was in PMT Salford and they have a S/H Walkabout Scout in I asked about the price of it and the Salesguy said "I would'nt touch that mate it keeps blowing fuses and is not working like all Mesa stuff' seems a strange thing to say from a salesman but they must know what is returned frequently, BTW I'm a happy Mesa owner never had any trouble with any thing I've bought with the Mesa badge on.
[quote name='cd_david' post='581966' date='Aug 26 2009, 10:29 PM']I would say its worth about £750ish easy. Have you checked the provenance? do you know for a fact that the neck was added after the factory? I have read that during the transition period they bolted anything together to use old stock. This could be one of those instruments.

+1 you be mad to sell it for anything less IMO.
The Hipshot Bridge is a big upgrade IMO you can get the action real low with it and if the neck has any twist you can get over this too but as others have said it is a boat anchor.
I Missed that Nile has always been my favorite guitarist never played a chord the same way twice,I Always liked Madonna's 'Like a Virgin' some really good playing/Production on there from Tony T,Nile and Bernard they were a great engine.
I'm sure Frailers had a S/H one of these in stock not long ago I don't think it was this colour though, might be worth a call.

Welcome Bill! I Always have a week on S.Atlantic Ave nearly every year just for your beautiful Beach ( but Biker Week is great fun!)to live there and have that on your doorstep must be pretty special...
Bought about 2 months ago S/H from PMT Salford but TBH I prefer my Mesa for my valve sound. This is one of the last US made ones and is in good nick(racked since new which was 05'ish) , Dave Lunt gave it a full service about 3 weeks ago and all the valves are in good working order. Not Interested in Trades I'm afraid owe my Mrs some money.
I'm based about 20 Miles North of Manchester.

I'd imagine most S/H basses have been played a lot less than one thats 'New' thats been in a shop for a time and played by everyone who has ever gone in but try proving this theory to the shop owner for a shop soiled bass and he will always call it 'new'.
