1.
Mmm, nice Vigier Passion. Here's my Series 3 being given a good beating ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3cdn7O6tXE
Thanks and there's some nice playing going on there. Also Thanks Ollie and Beneath it All for the comments (Still play your Birch Ollie, it gets a lot of complements that one!) Bump for new Photo's.
2. Thanks for the nice comments everyone, like I said Stunning Bass and offers something different from the Current 10/90's necks soundwise (Still got my Vigier Excess so I'm not leaving the Club totally, and I'm still looking for a Roger Glover Excess). I'll get some Pics of the Rear of the Neck up tonight. Cheers Si
3. Bought this from Beneath it All earlier this year and looking to buy some TC cabs b4 Christmas so this has to go. Without a doubt this is the nicest bass I've ever played the neck is soooo Perfect it makes any style effortless. Its a early Series 2 with the full graphite thru neck and without the Body graphic on the lower part and is No 28 which is '85 according to Patrice's website. The Bass is a easy 9/10 and is in superb condition for its age. Looking for £900 cash (Saw a Early White Passion sell for £1000 on the 'Bay last month) or I might be interested in a trade for a couple of light weight Cabs ie Bergs/Tecamps,Ags or even a Orange ad200 amp. Cash of course either way up to the value. I'm going to Manchester this Sunday so if anyone going to Bassday I will be around with the bass if required. Cheers Si Pics- (Special thanks to Mick for letting me use his photo's Top Guy) And my not very good efforts-
4. Met Steve yesterday to trade a Ric for a Mesa Combo really nice guy with impeccable taste in all things Bass, Pleasure to meet you Steve and a fine band your in too. Thanks Again Si.
5.
Hi Alex if you can fit me in I would be happy to pick the cab up from Josh in Preston and meet up with guyl from Manchester or drop it off for them as I am halfway between them in Chorley. I won't get chance to gig it so would be happy mid-week for just a night to give it a thrashing.... cheers...Paul
I'd be happy to try the Cab if Paul gets it, again depending on how it falls I prob won't gig it but will be able to drop off in Manchester no problem. Cheers Si

7. I would say when you try one move the Low frequency down a bit- I read somewhere it is factory set at about 280Hz! so you will never get the MB/Shuttle low end on turn on but you will easily and more with a bit tweaking, In fact I replaced 2 Tube amps with this and TBH there's not much difference to my ears.
8. Jeez That Bad Bull is cheap really weird the minimum loads though- 8 ohm minimum .
9. I did have a issue with mine that sounded like a buzzing noise coming from the 15' Cone (21015 version) took the grill off and removed a 10' speaker and the Tweeter was not connected at all I'd imagine/Hope it was when it left the factory and just came loose, the buzzing was the spade connectors touching the 15' speaker cone on the inside.
10. Are the 2x10 Cabs in stock 4 ohm or 8 ohm off the stock number they look 4 ohm. Cheers
11. The bass version of Stone washed/Distressed jeans perhaps? I played a couple recently and they played fine the action a little bit high but thats just preferance, The relicing looked a little strange compared to a '68 Jazz they also had in but TBH they played better than the '68 at a near quarter of the price.
12. Bump for a great cab timings not right for me to buy this at the 'mo but I will have a pair of these by Christmas.
13. Sorry to hear about all this Steve your best bet for another guitarist in the Wigan area is Partysounds (As mentioned) or North West Bands just put a ad out and I'm sure they will flood you with offers. Si
14.
TC electronics RH 450 is well worth a look at, can't fault them.
I'm loving mine at the moment, Fair enough its a little more than the others mentioned but when you take into account the DI (Best one I've used by a mile) the Compressor ( so even across All the strings ) and the Tuner and add to that the Amp its just a superb unit- even the gig bag is only £20 (take note Markbass)
15. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peavey-Valved-Bass-G...id=p3286.c0.m14 Not many of these in the country 400w of pure Tube goodness, Look at the depth of the cab Backbreaking.
16. Met Dan at Corley Services and exchanged Basses was a true gent and I was very happy with the trade, Great guy and bang on time even after driving up from Kent. Thanks Again.
17. Sounds good but I liked Reef a lot (Come to think of it I Like most bands from around then) I was a proper TFI Fanboy.
18. I'm 20 Miles North of Manchester. If anyone wanted both together I'd say £150 Bargainous.
19. Parts Made in Canada Assembled in the US, Last one of these went for £150 on Ebay Review- http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...din/G-1000/10/1 One or two slight dinks but in good condition overall, Sounds Great though. Flextone Duo 2x50 Watts into 2x10 Speakers comes complete with the FB4 controller.A few knocks and the rubber on/off switch is missing (Design fault on all early Flextones but does turn on and off with a pencil etc) Sounds fantastic. Prefer collection for all these but could deliver if your around Lancs/Manchester. Cheers Si
20. Had this a bit was looking to re-active it but I need to make some space for more junk It has been made passive (Not by me) I'd imagine the actives stopped working and someone decided it was the best thing to do(Been well screened/Carried out looks like a Pro Job), TBH the passive tone is that good if it had a pre amp I would still use it passive. Few small dings nothing major the neckplate dates it at 1981 so it in quite good condition for its age, Neck is straight frets have been dressed in the past but have a lot of life in them overall a great bass for a great price. Would prefer Pick up and no trades please.Cheers Si

22. I'm Guilty M'lord Please take me away but I'm very close to being happy with my gear just need one or two others..
23. I think the only reason that prices have come down in the UK is down to Thomann when they started the website around 02/03 they where too cheap.Never had any problem with them and there after sales is great too.
24. I'd buy that in a blink of a eye if I had the money.
25. I'd go for used you are really doubling your money if you do, One of them Peavey rigs on Amps For Sale would last and last- really solid stuff.
