4.
This is a beautiful bass
Thanks Stevie, it's a fine looking, and playing bass.
 5.
Bump - no offers yet, you never know, I might take a (large) block of cheese!
How large is 'large'??
 6.
Like I said any public discussion of pricing is cool with me as I have no idea what it's worth. I thought you may have been referring to something else... maybe Fender Acoustic Basses aren't great or something. I will re-consider the asking price in a couple of days, but I did hope that people would just offer me what they think it's worth.
Not at all, I'm sure they are excellent acoustic basses, no doubt at all. I'm sure you'll shift it soon. Not a great time for selling gear at the mo though, but hopefully you'll get a buyer.
 7.
They are the product of a purchase that was made without obtaining proper marital sanction.
Tut, tut, who's been a naughty boy then!!
 8. Bump, a few offers in, which are good enough to let it go, so final shouts type bump
 9.
I despise p basses in every aspect, however there is something about this, its really really nice
How does it differ from a P-bass that you despise all aspects of?
 10. bump for offers before they go on The Bay for a quid!! That's a start price, not BIN
 11.
How early did they change to plastic?
They were wooden (Cherry or maple), single screw from 1951 to 1957. These were painted black, and lacquered, some early versions from '51/2 were left plain wood, and lacquered; They changed to 2-screw black plastic in July '57, when they released the 3rd variation of the Precision. Same style used from then to now. Positioned below the strings from '57 to around '69 (transition examples exist up to a year either side of this), and above the strings after. There was a short period around 1972, when they appeared as a deep burgundy colour, that appeared almost black, but was a very deep red when you shined a light through it, like this; They used gold or silver metal ones on the P&J Bass Specials in the early 80's, with Fender embossed, short lived special edition, normally with P/J pickups, and thumbrest was positioned above the strings.
 12. I have acquired via a purchase of various bass attire, a Leo Quan Badass II (2) bridge. Its a worn gold colour, the back of which is still gold, the front is faded, and is now silvery chromey nickely finish, the screws are gold/brass too, and there's evidence of gold in the lettering, and screw hole areas, unless this is how they all are??. The saddles are slotted. I know nothing about these, so have researched prices, and they seem to go for around £80 S/H. This is the type that is a direct replacement for your Fender BBOT bridge, no extra drilling, no more holes, no routing. No screws included, but just use the ones from your old bridge. I'd like £65, shipped anywhere in the UK. I may be open to offers if it doesnt shift quick though? Here's the pics, which probably explain it far better than my poor description above!! NOW SOLD VIA OTHER MEDIA.
 13.
Sunny greetings from germany to help rick bumperillo
Thanks for the bumparama!
 14.
Its his Uncles. He found it in his loft, but knows nothing about them.
15.
Bump! I don't understand this at all!?
The comments made, would suggest the price is too high, someone even said that very thing, I was trying to be more subtle. I think its a bit rum asking the same price for something (non-vintage), that you bought second hand 9 years ago. Compared with similar acoustic bass prices, it would appear high. You're not supposed to comment on pricing in the FS section of BC though, so I was trying to be subtle with earlier comments, as you'd asked for some tips on how to improve interest in the item.
 16. [b] Not quite what i was expecting...
